Its a shame you didnt enjoy it. I took my 10 year old neighbour a long and he really enjoyed which was good. I enjoyed it too. A shame we lost but exciting end to the game.

Calmed down a bit about it now, Just a bit disapointed with it to be honest - would've liked a better result and a slightly bigger crowd - just disapointed that we could not build on what we have done and it pisses me off we can't win at home.

Well the atmosphere on the radio sounded MUCH better yesterday.

I was in H and can confirm its the noisiest its been in a while Goring Gull was clearly wearing Ear defenders or went to the wrong ground.

goring gull had had a 500 mile round trip and as it was his first home game this season he was obviously excited.
but withdean is not a football ground and a mid table clash against tranmere in november in the 3rd tier of english football at a stadium with no roof is hardly going to create a good atmosphere.he has caused a good debate on this thread and is obviously passionate about the albion but he has to be realistic.if his 1st home game would of been against blackpool he would not be moaning .

I'm not sure Falmer will make the atmosphere any better though - without looking back through rose tinted specs i don't remeber the Goldstone rocking that often -

I've been watching the Albion for 18 years home and away - not all matches granted and the odd season i probably have been a lot less than i should have been - This season is one of my best in the past 3 years so hardly a bad fan. So far i've managed Rotherham, Forest, Bristol City, Scunny, Hudds , Bradford away oh and yesterday so that's not a bad percentage really probably better than alot on here anyway.

I was at the Donny game and the Hereford game when things were really bad. How many on hear can say that.

Some need to remmebre how bad things were and support the lads now.

Average distance you have to travel GG not that far is it? There are alot more fans "local" than you who travel further to home games than you do to so called away games . At the end of the day any so called fan would be travelling to those games as home bankers .. So get off your high horse and leave the true fans alone .

For what it is worth I havent seen a game at Withdean, other than Swindon play offs, that had been so exciting as this game. DW summed it up correctly when he said the ref didnt add on sufficient time for the goal keepers time wasting. Apparently the ref told him he warned their goalkeeper 4 times about time wasting.

Mind you the officials were piss poor in all respects.

Even with Falmer,the late 70's early 80's Goldstone would win everytime .A tear fer them days of at least 25k in the crowd,scarfs twirling in the north stand and never a plastic seat unless ye was posh and sat in the south

Unfortuanately for the boys, I and my 2 mates who are both Sussex based won't be wasting ot cash time and effort bothering the the Withers again - someone needs to sort our so called supporters out and soon.

You are right. We do have some "so-called" supporters. And they do need sorting out.

FFS i finally make my first trip of the season to see the lads at the Withers 500 mile round trip ( against my better judgement i hasten to add) thinking all will be rosy that it will be a bumper crowd on the back of a good run - and what frigging happens we have at least 5000 home fans and you could hear a pin drop FFS. the team unispired by this and pretty poor - we take only 500 roughly away but make ten times as much noise the previous few away games. One of my mates i went with gets told to shut up when he starts having a go at those around him for moaning the minute a pass was misplaced.

You can blame the ground, the facilities whatever but those who watch us at home are a frigging disgrace no passion whatsoever i can't even understand why they waste money on a season ticket for teh involvement they have. Roll on Donny FFS let's get soem passion behind the the lads they can't do it all without us - yet people moan that players won't come here after saturday evidence i'm not bloody surprised.

Blame DK, Blame the manager, Blame the players, blame Withdean - But to be honest the crowd were crap is embarrassed to be their it was os different from the games at Hudds, Bradford etc absolutely shocking if you don't get behind the lads you should hang you heads in shame.

Let's see some proper support at Donny next week.
