Well yeah, one person has. You've only heavily implied it.

Yeh he has def heavily implied it and then he says 'who's saying they don't want Lua Lua?' :shootself

Thought he'd have learned something as he's been more 'owned' on this site than my mums 1987 VW polo

but that can be worked on, as can his apparent inability to cross (although I for one think his crossing was far better than we've ever had, I mean he HAS a left foot for crying out loud.)

I guess you are quite young then, if you honestly think that?

Better than we've EVER had?

Paul Watson?
Steve Penney?
Darren Currie?
etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.....

I'd prefer Monkhouse personally. We know he can score and provide goals at this level, so i would love to see him coming in...would be perfect!
Never was a great lover of LuaLua, YES he's got blistering pace, but thats IT!

You seem to be missing one of his great qualities. Having him on the pitch, means the opposition are pretty much guaranteed to double up on him. This frees a gap elsewhere on the pitch for others to exploit which is absolutely crucial when trying to break teams down.

We do not have another player that opposition will always double up on.

Ive seen all of them and Lua Lua has the potential to be better than all of them quite comfortably.

Steve Peney was a terrific player though, light years ahead of Watson adn Currie. Thy could deliever a dead ball but were not out and out wingers like Penney.

Well obviously, as Watson was a full-back!

Monkhouse would be a fantastic signing... would prefer a perm signing TBH... Baz plays wide left, but surely a bit of a risk for him to be our only left winger... also, too much of a risk relying on Newcastle saying 'yes' re a second loan to us...

How about Stephen Gillespie (sp)... where is he now? He had a fantastic season for Cheltenham season before last I think...

None that have been mentioned including Lua Lua are as good as Frankie Howard and I would even say that he was probably quicker than Lua Lua.

I'm not old enough to have seen Frankie play, but I hear he was a great player.

No way, though was he 'quicker than Lua Lua'. Such is the advance in physical development of athletes in the intervening 50 years, that a man capable of Lua lua's speed in those days, would have been an Olympic sprint champion, rather than a fotballer in the old third division.

Although, in those old film reels, where they kind of speed everything up a bit, he'd look quick...

Stalled at Colchester and score no more than a handful of goals.

Having watched Colchester's 'style' of play, I can understand why... he would do well under Gus, IMHO...
