Well yeah, one person has. You've only heavily implied it.

No not really. All im saying is Lua Lua hasn't got a decent end product. Many of people have said it on different threads so im not the only one. I would deffinately love to see Lua Lua back at Brighton though.

Lua Lua is the first player for a long time to get me out of my seat when he picks the ball up...i'm not sure I even enjoyed watching bobby as much. I remember the game last season when he picked up his first hamstring injury....the run which caused the injury was insane....he picked up the ball deep in our own half and just blasted his way past 4 or 5 of their players using his pace alone....it was amazingly amazing.....would love to see him back here next season.....denfences were terrified of him and when they double up on him it leaves gaps for others

Dont forget he is still quite young and very raw....i'm sure Gus could coach a little more finesse and end product into his game.

However, I am worried about his injuries especially if we have a long hard winter of horrible pitches

That run was unbeleivable! Two players showed him in between them thinking they'd close off any chance of him going past them, and before they knew it he was gone! I don't think I've ever seen anyone with such pace over a short distance. It's frightening.

Under your skin.
The loan signing is LIKELY to be LuaLua as Arismendi has gone on loan to Barnsly.

Lua Lua would be great but as Gus has said will probably not happen until after the season starts .... Think our priority should be another striker because the team as a whole looks short of goals ....

I'd prefer Monkhouse personally. We know he can score and provide goals at this level, so i would love to see him coming in...would be perfect!
Never was a great lover of LuaLua, YES he's got blistering pace, but thats IT!

I think it is easy to forget how good Lua Lua was. He was not just about pace. His ability to keep the ball and beat players was great and his final ball got better but the problem was sometimes with only one up front we couldn't get on the end of his crosses. My slight problem with Lua Lua is he would only be on loan and so we might only be improving him to play for Newcastle or so they can sell him to someone else. Having said that, this is how the loan system works and I would be delighted if he came back.

From what I have heard, Monkhouse would also be a good signing so would be happy with either.

If Lua Lua comes back here i will be happy ! The bloke gets me out my seat when he picks up the ball, Defenders tread water trying to catch him!

Does anyone reckon he will come back or are we clutching at straws?

Not sure about whether he will be coming back. Depends if Newcastle would prefer him to try a Championship club or are happy for him to come back I suppose.

As for the first bit of your post, I completely agree. I don't remember being as excited by a player when he is on the ball since Zamora and League 1 defenders really struggle to deal with him.

He certainly sets a buzz around the place when he gets the bal as you dont know what he ios going to do but overall I would sooner that we signed Monkhouse who is aproven player in this division as aleft sided midfielder who can score goals. I am sure that I read that oner of the new Argies is also a left sided player who can score goals so perhaps we do not need Lua Lua.

I can't believe people honestly believe all he had was pace! The amount of times in specific games alone that he would pick the ball up on the left, keep it close to his feet, slip in between two defenders into a central position and have a strike (which more often than not WAS on target) was a delight to watch! Often he had a knack of not releasing the ball sooner, but that can be worked on, as can his apparent inability to cross (although I for one think his crossing was far better than we've ever had, I mean he HAS a left foot for crying out loud.)

Lua Lua's pace is ridiculous. Absolutely, insanely ridiculous.
If we could get him on a season-long deal and he stays fit, he will rip this division apart. I will CREAM myself if Gus gets him here on a long-term loan, maybe even till Christmas with a further option to extend in the New Year.

The lad is pure BOX OFFICE

Im nursing a semi after that...
