I'm still firmly in the Potter In camp.
He's hardly had any time at this level. He got played by Hodgson last night, fair enough. But Potter will learn. Even if we do go down, and I don't think we will, I'm still Team Potter.
All you 50+ need to go to specsavers.
Back in the real world we r 5th from bottom 4 points outside the bottom 3

Caught the wrong side, fails to tackle, fails to foul, fails to block.
So with the money available to him to buy those players, he still thought the best approach for Brighton was "More of the same"
Was Hughton unaware that we were tracking these players? Trossard/Webster/Maupay started in the following season, Bissouma was signed under Hughton.
I loved CH and didn't want to see him go, but IMO, he didn't buy in to Tony's vision for the club.
Maybe it's because of his time at Spurs, but I don't think he genuinely believed that we could compete in this division by playing decent football.
Sure if we brought Hughton back to manage Potter's squad, I'm sure he would play better football, but managing the transition?
I don't believe Hughton thought that was possible,

I genuinely think a big problem we, as a club, haven’t solved, is the loss of Murray.
A natural goalscorer who could play shite, yet somehow get a deflection of his ass in the 89th minute to win a game. That pure instinctiveness in front of goal is something we’ve been lacking as a team ever since.
The question is who do you blame for that? Clearly the manager is setting us up to create nearly 30 chances in a game, to dominate possession. If it’s a personnel issue then the fault has to be with recruitment, has to be.
If you can't see the difference between our current football and standing, I genuinely pity you.
In the same real world, prior to our recent upturn in form and run we were 4th bottom and only 2 points outside the bottom 3 having played 2 games more than Fulham. We were also 5 points behind Newcastle, who are now below us.
Al I’m saying is what we all agree on our current crop of strikers are barely good enough for the championship let alone premier league . This can’t be just down to bad luck ?

Maupay scored 37 goals in 2 seasons in the Championship. I am not sure that is 'barely good enough'
That’s his level prem not I’m afraid

You said he was barely good enough for the Championship. 37 goals in 2 seasons shows he is.
Which strikers do you think we should sign? If Championship top scorers are not good enough for us, then who is?
The fault is with the recruitment policy overall not the recruitment itself.
But that policy is integral to the strength of the overall squad.
We either break the bank for the elusive striker or we have a deep squad of similar quality players.
Tony/Ashworth and Potter know what the plan is.
1) Create loads of opportunities for mid-level strikers whio should get enough goals to keep us competitive.
2) Wait for one of our punts on kids/ overseas strikers ends up being a genuine 20 goals a season striker.
It's not a terrible plan.
But it won't keep the pitchfork carrying mob happy.
Do you think the current crop are ok then?
Maupay lost all confidence plus poor decision making
Aj gets on from being nowhere on bench in recent weeks
Tau - god knows
Connolly- needs to be on loan at a championship team
Swiss roll - god knows
Still think we should of tried with Callum Wilson and Ollie Watkins
One thing for sure Maupay not going to save us like Murray did

A few of us have have seen this result coming for a long time. January and February on NSC have been difficult months having to read the smug comments from the Potter sycophants.
Some of us always saw the flaws in Potter’s philosophy but were shouted down and called ‘bedwetters’. We could see that Potter’s inflexibility or reluctance to change his system against teams who defend deep and in numbers would not yield anything against our relegation rivals. The pedestrian pace for large swathes of each match might look great in the possession stats, but the only column that matters rarely exceeds 1 at the end of a game.
To the Inners. Come on. Let’s get real. We are in serious danger of going down with Potter at the helm.
Tonight I extend a hand of friendship. We’re all fans of the club - not Potter. Let’s unite as a fan base again and move forward together.
