One of the victims of the recent subway gun attack in New York has filed a lawsuit against gun manufacturer Glock.

Will it work ? It remains to be seen, but following the Sandy Hook school shootings Remington settled a similar case for $73M and there have been similar payouts for people suing opioid and cigarette manufacturers.

Tragically it's almost at that stage. Whilst every part of your humanity wants to be concerned about the murder of innocent people, you question why you care if the vast majority of Americans and their government are not concerned about doing anything to stop it.

Unfortunately that's about right. Whenever I broached the issue with American friends and work colleagues they expressed concern and sympathy for the victims but the attitude seemed to be one of well that's the price you have to pay to protect their precious second amendment rights. This latest incident will barely raise a discussion around the water cooler, it will be head down and get on with their lives. So sad that nothing ever changes
