I've always thought the land opposite the station that is sometimes a rugby pitch but Google Maps tells me is an ultimate frisbee pitch would be the favoured place. Will more than likely mean the relocation of a few uni buildings too but i'm sure that wouldn't be that much of a hurdle.

It is that site.

I think it's so great that the club are taking women's football seriously. There are plenty of Premier League clubs that aren't.

We've made some big strategic signings this summer already.

For a relatively small investment, it's clear that TB/PB sees that it's a great thing for the Brighton brand - and something tells me they see it as being important for the BHAFC future as women's football continues to grow in popularity.

Besides, I dunno about you lot, but I keep an eye on the results... and will tune in occasionally when it's being broadcast online.

I know there are ambitions for a women's stadium based in Brighton, but I'm not sure how realistic that is. If it happens though, I'd totally attend - especially if it was Hove way.

Villa prob pay higher wages for one thing plus I’m sure our coaching instability and lack of a real home may contribute. Terland to MU has been nailed on for a couple of weeks I think sadly
Begs the question what is holding up the Terland deal? Earps wanted out and Utd are reportedly making loads redundant and people might ask how keen are they on the women's game, especially bearing in mind they only entered the arena in 2018 after a 13 year absence thanks to the Glazers.

Can anyone with a knowledge of the women's game explain the difference between the transfer markets of the men's and women's game?

It appears that in the women's game clubs have far less protection from losing their best players, there seems to be far more freedom of movement.
Once a player has another club wanting them it seems very hard to hang on to them.
Do contracts tend to be shorter in length in the women's game?

Just read that about Man Utd. Sorry but for them to receive criticism because they are not treating the mens and womens team as equal is a load of crap. Looks like while training ground is been refurbished mens team are getting priority with facilities. Surprise surprise. One is worlds biggest football brand and other attracts about 3k to games.

Majority of female players are on two year deals, suspect this will begin to change after several high profile departures like Russo and Earps

There's more to it than just the training ground. The fact the club were even thinking of bringing Greenwood back demonstrated their contempt for their female employees, including players!

Loathe ManU as I do (I commented on the fact the players seem to lack the 'all in it together' mentality as a cultural failing as the club) I think that may be a tad harsh. Greenwood is/was their player. Working out what to do with him, including every possibility, is responsible business. I would it imagine it took only a few minutes of discussion for due diligence to inform make a decision of 'out'. Then the question is whether they try to get a fee (why not?) or simply rip up the contract.

But that isn't what happened Harry. United took five months after the CPS charges were dropped in February 2023, and were planning to re-integrate Greenwood into the squad. It was only the reporting of that decision (by Adam Crafton in The Athletic) that created such a public backlash that United did a U-turn and decided it wasn't feasible.

Is that so? I assumed they had simply parked it until his ban (ban?) had expired, or some other even triggered action.

In which case I stand corrected, and wonder WTF united have been playing at.

It's depressing how quickly the big 6 have got a vice-like grip on the women's game. Not so long ago Lewes were in the top fligh5.

At least the quality in the men's Prem is such that the big boys do get beaten by The Other 14 fairly regularly.
