And while a few clubs 'buy' the women's game, this is the sad reality for some of the clubs that were in the vanguard of putting the women's game back on the map.

Doncaster Belles used to be the top female team - I guess that was before big-money-clubs took an interest in the women's game?

Yep, City were given their place at the top table because they had more money but without the Belles women's football would be way behind were it is now.

Hope we are better next season
Doesn't seem like there's much chance of that.

The Women's team seems in a real mess, but it seems to repeat every summer. We've now got to go out and get a whole new team (again). Is there the money? Is there the motivation? Does the team even have a permanent manager? Or is that search still ongoing as well?!

Yep, daughter plays for a sunday team and although generally have morning kick offs, getting home and then up to Crawley is a bind and just not doable for the most part. The club are missing out on building a generation of girls and people that rode on the back of the lionesses victory, they could well regret the club not being in Brighton and riding that wave.
Massively missing out. I think the KO times are forced upon them though, TV no doubt. As you'll know, being a girls league, you can commute over 100 miles there and back. Being local to Brighton would make it a little easier.
Still hope to get to a few games though.

Rumours today that Terland is close to being signed by Man Utd which would be very disappointing for us. Bit surprised she'd go there given the lack of support of Womens team at the moment though.

I did a training ground tour on Friday evening (fascinating and definitely a lot of very good facilities, though didn't see the womens side) and the staff hinted that 'theres a plan' and 'something should be announced soon on the stadium' but wouldn't be drawn anymore on timeframes or details.

No manager, losing top players, and no announcement on anything to do with the squad - signs so far for next season not looking good!

Any news on Terland’s contract offer?
Also any rumours on incomings? Kirby?
Kirby has been on my mind since it was announced she would be leaving Chelsea. With her quality and experience I think she would be a star asset. But there are two things why I doubt it would happen. Firstly that the team appears to be in a complete shambles again with no manager. And secondly, the old stumbling block - wages!

I have no idea what Kirby is looking for. Does she still want to play for England? If so, then BHAFC isn't the place to come. Is she looking for a step-up into coaching / manasgement? Then possibly.

I'd love to see "super Franny Kirby" in the stripes but I have to be realistic!

It's been mentioned several times by Tony Bloom and Paul Barber how hard the club are trying to find our women's team a home ground in the Brighton area, and PB has mentioned that the club hope to have some news to share soon.

For such a major piece of news I'm surprised that there haven't been any leaks about possible sites that the club may have been enquiring about.
If a new stadium or the upgrading of somewhere else was being explored, surely someone must have a neighbour, second cousin, know a bloke down the pub who has heard something?

There seems to be a very good cloak of secrecy around any information.

I thought the land next to the Amex was the favourite?
