Just to perhaps calm everyone down a bit, here are the Leeds stats for the first 23 games and the second 23 games last season:
First 23 games:
W17 D5 L1 F45 A13 Pt 56
(W13 D7 L3 F42 A18 Pt 46 - BHA this season)
Leeds looked a nigh on unbeatable side who will win the league with a record points total.
Second 23 games:
W8 D6 L9 F32 A31 Pt 30
This form across the season would have put them one place and one point ahead of .... Brighton & Hove Albion.
Pessimistically, W 12 D 5 L 6 = 87 pts. This season only good enough for third place?
This is all just hypotheticals, just concentrate of winning our games and we will be there that's all
And Notts County twice. Worryingly. So we shouldn't get too excited that we also have to play D&R twice.
It does reinforce what an average league it is this season. If we don't get promotion now we may not have a better chance for years
Slightly annoying that the rearranged fixtures are both towards the end of the season when they will be fighting for their lives to stay in the division. We'd have been better off playing them mid-season.So we shouldn't get too excited that we also have to play D&R twice.
To get the average 93 points to win the league, they would need a further 32 points from the last ten games, which would be a virtually impossible task.
Only a 'virtually' impossible task...? So you think there's a chance they may do it?
