Albion (to Peter Taylor, who has always been vocal in his support for Falmer)

"Stayed with a big club, you should have stayed with a big club....."

Taylor (to the Albion fans) pointed at the KCC as the reason why he is in a state of the art stadium with a crowd of 18,000 and a half decent playing budget instead of being at Withdean with no money struggling to get over 6,000 and a possibility, no more of us being in a new ground in........2008?09?10?

The Albion fans then turned on him with venom, very shabby indeed.

He only signed a contract for one season and did not want to renew it after seeing the playing budget for the following season. That seems fair enough so don't see why the knuckle scrapers today so were humourless towards him.

He didn't ever sign a contract I thought.

Think his reaction was well out of order considering he know what we're going through to get the new stadium.

He was rubbing out noses in it and rightly deserved the shit he got for doing so.

The point is Peter Taylor knows as well as we do that we probably won't have a new ground for some years, if ever, so I see his actions today as goading us, he knows how much getting a new ground means to us and he chose to rub our noses in it.

To prove I haven't lost my sense of humour though, I saw a bloke dressed up like Guy Butters in the stand today, he had an old shirt of his on and he even had the right size belly, now that was funny...are you ever going to take it off El Pres :lolol:

Indeed so, particularly given his brilliant stuff in the match programme putting pressure on Prescott.

He said on Radio Humberside that the Albion fans had given him stick.
He did speak up for the stadium when being interviewed but I felt it came across as rubbing our noses in it.

Still, if he had stayed we wouldn't have had all the fun of the playoffs and McGhee.

What goes around comes around.

I never had any time for Taylor.

He deserved all he got today because he was winding us up by what he did.

At least we don't have to live up there in that shit hole.

that is complete Rubbish. What Taylor did was completly out of order!! What do you expect from an ex palace :censored:

Mocking us by pointing at the ground was a joke. THe bloke lost all respect from me after that.

Completly out of order and not needed.

It was testament to how boring and dull the game was at that point that he could focus his attention on us :)

True. We might have not got relegated in the first place. ;)

All part of the rollercoaster that is BHA ;)

It wasn't the focus of his interview but in response to a question from the presenter.

Taylor did a job for us - he got us promoted.

Can u really blame him for not accepting the 'poisoned chalice'

If Albion fans cannot see that. then it's their problem, not his.

Strikes me that the pressure must be getting to our supporters, if they have lost their sense of humour to that extent.

Perhaps things will become a little lighter when we get the green light for Falmer, but if you're gonna slag off ex-palace players, what about that tosser coppell? He got us relegated!

Taylor didn't get us promoted.
My 5 year old daughter could have picked that team every week.

As for Coppell. Some people make me laugh. They sing that he's got VD and the next week when he comes to Withdean they f***ing applaud him :censored: :censored:

There was no way he was rubbing our noses in it. He has always been positive about Falmer, and explained that it was the lack of decent facilities that was the key deciding factor as to why he left, exactly the same as Adams, Coppell and Horton to be honest.

Some people like to give it but can't take it, are we turning into the Scousers of the South Coast and another Self-Pity City?
