Shevchenko is only here to play football and is not classed as an Immigrant risk whereas Bangura is an immigrant risk in that he intends to live here full time. It is all a load of aold tosh IMHO and I am going through the same thing in that I am an immigrant risk thus not allowed into the states so where is the difference there?

Why exactly is he a 'risk'? He's said he loves this country, so he's hardly going to go blowing things up is he?

Also people need to remember that he is not an illegal immigrant. He is an asylum seeker and the two are very different things.

What a stupid thing to say.

What a stupid thing to say, do you have any personal experience of these wankers ? I bloody do and they are typical incompetent lazy lying bastard civil servants. Most of the ones I've spoken to are not even British !

That is a fact and I am taking them to court as I write as they flat out lied to me.

Yep about right.....

You just know that they make no real effort in trying to catch the real illigal scroungers, but yeah, they show their steely determination in trying to deport a young successful professional, who is a positive contributor.

I think that is a pretty reasonable assessment. They reckon that there's at least 6000 illegal immigrants working here as security guards, what a joke except it's not at all funny.

He is an immigration risk because he intends to stay in the country. That is what it means not that he is a risk in that he wants to blow up parliament:jester:
Yes there is a difference between II and AS but as he has been denied the AS then he is of course a major II. He will have to return to his home country and apply for a marriage visa like the rest of us have to do in the same situation.

Wasn't he granted asylum when he first came over? I doubt that his situation would have changed much.

Not sure but as far as I know he has been denied status in this country through his AS. I may be wrong as I have not read everything but I believe this to be the case.

So security grants dont pay taxes then do they? As long as people who come over get jobs that need to be filled then there isnt a problem is there? I can't understand why you're so anti all of them when it seems you have had a personal gripe against a few of them.

Didn't Albert Jarret come from Sierra Leone?
If so say that the player in question was him whilst he was with us what would you expect the club and our fans to do about the situation.

Obviously whatever you felt of hes ability as a player shouldn't cloud your judgement.

Now he should have been sent packing ..................... useless waste of space.

He's a young professional footballer from a country which is in a dire state and he was brought here in some sort of male prostitution scandal. He has the talent to be a top player, might not ever be one but say if it was an Albion player then we would all be behind him.

I wish people would know the facts before posting on here. The civil war ended in 2002, there have been democratic elections since and the country has been at peace since then. The biggest growing industry is now tourism. There is little national danger in going back to his home country. And before people ask how do you know, Ive just taught a 12 week unit of GCSE work on Sierra Leone.

1) The War in Sierra Leone finished in 2002.
2) He fled here in 2003.
3) He fled here as an illegal immigrant
4) His "girlfriend" is from Sierra Leone
5) She is also an illegal immigrant and now has a baby!!!!
6) Sierra Leone is a 'white list' country, ie it is a country from which it is not possible to claim asylum because the government there does not practise persecution

Why doesn't he apply for a work permit, as opposed to citizenship?

Failing that, can't Watford loan him out to a European side?

He isn't claiming he escaped from government persecution, but from the threats of the Poro. They can turn very nasty.

As I say (with your education I would have thought you could read) I have had personal experience of them and based on that and having worked for them this year they are everything I say. Ever tried disciplining a civil servant ? It's nie on impossible as they are more union orientated that any miner or car worker you have ever met.

Well I for one hope that the rule of the law is applied to him just as it is me. No special exemptions or liberties, just the honest rule of law. If he can prove he will indeed face his death if he returns then he has an obvious right to stay.

However I still can't understand why this assylum was sorted out years ago, nor his girlfriends status, especially if he's 18 and they have a child. What status has he been living under for all these years? Who has he been living with? How was he paying his way and his education? These are the things that are questioned (and checked) of me, except that I have no recourse to public funds, no child benefits, housing or other benefits... wonder what he's got?
