Which makes you think that there were not plans to do it and that the decision was only made after a freak meeting between Dick and Micky.
because of comments made by lord b and race about this being on the cards for a while

the fact we have NO left backs might influence his decision somewhat.....

that interview was slightly unproffesional. done infront of the TOILETS, and then somebody goes into the gents right in the middle. wonderful

It was in the boardroom, no idea why it was done down the end where the toilets were, at the other end in the corner is a cabinet with the 2 league trophies in it.

Should have done it in front of them

Right at the end of the Seagulls World video, Adams drops that bombshell.

"Possibly players that have been released, there may be a way back for them, but that's for discussion later on"

The only one I want to see back on the playing side is Reid.

Butters has to be given a coaching role nothing else and out of Hart & Mayo - forgetting emotions aside, I would only, at a push, offer a contract to Mayo.

I'd love to see the CARNAGE on here if he gave Mayo and Hart new deals

reid is the only one i would take back, possibly mayo but only due to the fact that with wilkins gone, we may drop our interest in richards and that leaves us f***ed at left back

Remember Adams likes Mayo. He admitted trying to sign him when he managed Fulham before joining us.

I still think Hart is more likely to be brought back in the frame (if anyone is).

Has anyone thought that maybe Wilkins asked to take a step down ?

To be honest, the whole thing is very confusing. On the one hand, you could argue that Wilkins DID ask to step down (uncomfortable with limelight, man-management skills or lack of etc), but then Adams said several times "he will be hurting right now". That suggests that Wilkins DIDN'T want to step down. In which case, why did Wilkins choose who would be released, only to be sacked days later?!

If Adams has any chance of keeping Wilkins as his 1st team Coach, then Reids outburst must rule him out from returning. How unwise was that then Paul?

That would explain some of this, but surely it would come out in a more controlled way and not have the "Wilkins Sacked" headlines everywhere.
BUT the headlines are the press. DK has said he wants WIlkins to stay on. One thing is for sure Wendy hasn't coped with the stress very well, which in turn leads me to believe he asked to take a back seat out of the limelight
All this business with him sitting in the stands and now not being at training or games makes me think that HE himself had something to do with this.
