Can't help thinking that Southampton may just take this one.

Extremely unlikely he comes back to us.

Would not go down well at all with a very large majority of the fan base after how he left.
Also doesn’t fit our system and imo, not fit enough for Ralph’s game.

This one wont go away... im starting to think it might be a goer for some reason. A nice signing on fee should keep him in line wages wise.

Lots of scepticism re Lallana and fitness and whilst this may be well founded, you only need to take a look at another ‘sick note’ banging them in for a club 65ish miles down the south coast to see that it can pay off...

Interesting to see that Ings was listed as a sicknote at Liverpool, yet given the chance and he's fully taken it. The Lallana thing doesn't seem to be going away even though he's the wrong side of 30, but stories seem to say that he has been fit for the last couple of year but just not given his chance. If the club says yes, then he gets my support when he's on the pitch

it's a yes from me I'd even stay to full time to watch him play that's if he lasts the whole game, premier league winner, fa cup, milk cup and champions league.

Wages, injury record......

Been a good player - but as mentioned elsewhere, average of 13 starts a season.

Paul Kitson anyone?

If we could get 30 games out of him then yes, otherwise no from me.

That's a slightly skewed stat as he's a backup player at Liverpool (current Champions of Europe and England) and hasn't been able to hold down a starting spot. He's been available from pretty much the entirety of this season. Having said that, the chat for months has been he's going to be reunited with Brendan at Leciester so would be surprised (but delighted) if he came here.

I read some comments from Klopp a few days ago that he is a model professional and has a great attitude. I’d be happy (and surprised) if he came to us.

Potter spoke yesterday about the youth in the squad and the need to make sure there was the right balance of youth and experience - someone like Lallana coming in (fitness and wages permitting) would fit the bill exactly. The fact he's available on a free changes the economics of a deal with us enormously - could potentially pay a significant sign-on fee in lieu of a large chunk of his expected wage and keep him within the overall wage structure. If Potter wants him I'm in

Liverpool-based chum of mine says that the quality ahead of him is the reason he's not getting games. Apparently a great pro who spends a lot of time with the younger players. Generous and respected. Would be a great fit into a Potter squad that will need the occasional older head.

I've been fence sitting, but if he has been fit and available all(ish) season and simply can't get in the starting 11, and the reports of him being a model professional are true, then I'll drive there to get him myself

Can get 20s on Sky Bet for him going to Leicester, got to be worth a couple of quid.

Would add quality to the squad but surprised if we were in for him tbh. We've been trying to lower the age of the squad plus how many No.10's do we need? On paper at least we have McA, Gross and Mooy even AJ chasing that role. If we even play with a 10. Lallana may be better than all of them arguably but it seems a strange one to me unless one of the others is going?

With Murray and probably Stephens appearing less, we are starting to get a very young squad and team, and I think I'm right in saying GP recently talked about balance, in terms of experience. Lallana certainly has loads of experience at the top level.

And if he is better than one of McA, Gross, Mooy or AJ, it would be worth it, (and I agree he could be better than them all for now).
