We sit behind the home dugout and to us it looked like Adam said fu**ing c**ts two or three times.

At first I thought it was to a player in the away bench but it was clearly aimed at the fans.

There was a lot of booing around us. I never think it's that advantagous to boo or get on your own players' backs, but it's understandable the home fans are getting frustrated.

I think Adam's a great competitor and is committed to the cause, I do not know why he had this outburst but if nothing else at least he is getting worked up.

As for the fans, often they sit on their hands for most of the match then boo at the end - yes, we pay their wages but also would be great to shout and make some noise now and then.

We have the making of a great side and I believe it's about confidence. Adam shouldn't have sworn at kids in the stands but at least he showed some passion.

:albion:

It's difficult to cheer when presented with yet any sh1t performance at home....and as for the making of a great side, but sorry, which game were you at??

a lot of people would act the same way if they were having a torrent of abuse directed at them.

He was the one hurling abuse and giving the South Stand the wanker gestures, Fans were booing in response to yet another crap performance at home. Some fans started swearing at him only after he acted like a complete twat.

Big difference.

Nice to see the complete badger has found a new anti-hero to vilify & demand the club"get rid" (excactly the same sentiment that was aimed at Henderson"
I was in the family stand & didn,t see the incident but even if El-abd did give the wankers sign and eff & blind at the southstand is that anymore of an insult than the shit thats being dished up on the pitch? There were at least 8 of our players out there today who owe us an apology. Theres no diffence between being called a c unt & being taken for a cun t, and thats whats been happening for the last few weeks.

Lets get one thing straight here - The fans did NOT single El Abd out at the final whistle for any abuse whatsoever. What we had was a chorus of justifiable grumbles and boo's at yet another SHITE result and performance which, frankly, is quite understandable given the utter DIRGE we have been subjected to at Withdean the last few weeks (well, the last 9 months by and large).

El Abd took exception to this reaction and decided it was time to dish a bit of abuse out to the people who pay his wages, rain or shine, regardless of his and his colleagues sub-standard performances.

I can trace El Abds pathetic post-match reaction to one incident, when Loft did the only worthwhile thing he'd done all afternoon, got round the back of them down the left, and laid the ball off to El Abd who was in a decent position about 15 yards out. To HOWLS of frustration from all round the ground, El Abd made a complete pigs ear of one of our precious few promising positions, and floated a nothing-ball over the bar and out for a goal kick. He was f***ed off, so were we all, and there was a fair bit of stick dished out at that point.

Obviously the boo's after another limp home defeat were too much for Adam to take on top of that, so he's come over to the South stand f-ing and blinding, giving the "WANKER" sign. Yeah, good timing Adam. Thats REALLY going to encourage those season ticket renewals to come flooding in, isn't it.

Contrary to what El Abd thinks, we as fans are quite entitled to voice their displeasure at a series of limp results and displays after paying top dollar to watch it. If you can't take it, then f*** off somewhere else, cos I'm sick of your face-clutching "injuries" anyway, and you ain'y THAT good that you can't be replaced very easily.

No, havent gone since McGhee was hounded. Cant see how thats got anyhting to do with El Abd not being able to react when booed be it warrented or not.

If you were you at the match today, what you would have heard and witnessed was some of the crowd booing the TEAM,s performance at the END of the game. Nothing unusual in that, .....happens on a regular basis at football grounds up and down the country when consistently poor performances are given out. What is WHOLLY unacceptable, is for a player to turn around and call ALL the paying supporters "F*****g C**T,s.
You consistently come on this board arguing about situations that you have neither seen or heard in person. You seem to have a huge chip on your shoulder about anything to do with supporters and seize the opportunity to express the bitterness you feel about supporters in general. A sad place to be at.

Probably get flamed for this, but i'd give El-Abd his due in that at least he showed some passion.. albeit abusive to his own fans!

Where were the other passionate players? Few and far between today...

And again, where's Gary Hart? He's been shockingly treated by the club after such admirable service and EFFORT. At least he gives passion every game no matter what standard the football is.

enlighten us please

For those of us who didn't buy a programme at todays game (£3! I ask you!) what does the post regarding the "own goal' refer too?

PS this is all reminiscent of the England Andorra Game. It felt unfair then to say that players are not fit to wear the shirt, but i do agree it's our right to boo if we are upset, like then. What has been happening at Withdean this season has had a cumulative effect and the end result is this hrrible atmosphere, no one wins when that happens. Seriously rethinking my season ticket (again).

Ona bright note the whole atmosphere will change over night if we get that decision on Falmer. El Abd's frustration symptomatic of what everyone is feeling at the moment.

Another fine performance by the STH, keep it up and we'll be in the Conference within a season.

So you think its fine for people to boo players and to shout insults at them (albeit not directly)? Surely if you give it out then you have to expect to get it back.

Come on mate that's a simple fact of life and you dont have to be at a football game to realise that.

Not sure why you think I have a chip on my shoulder - that bit baffles me.

Fosters headband please explain

PPS Have just re-read my post and didn't make it clear that I was very disappointed in El Abd, but it did look as if he was giving it back to one particular abuser in the south stand, he just seemed to lose it.
Once again my hard earned money on a season ticket to be called names by the players or a third of the amount on the double winners and beer at the match at the County Ground? My Dad already not renewing this is gonna be bad.
