You dont, but you should. It would be a breath of fresh air. They aint f***ing slaves you know. They should be able to respond to getting slagged off.

They have such a tough life dont they. Christ, if its that bad for them I wonder why they do it.

Boo if you want ( I personally never boo players apart from Kuipers) I suppose you're paying your hard earned cash, but dont start whinging when players get annoyed with it and have their say.

Lets put the shoe on the other foot, Brighton fans have been awful support wise away from this season at times (brentford springs to mind) but you wouldn't like it if the players came up at the end of the match and started shouting about how shit you had been, you'd soon start having a go back. It works both ways.

but the players dont pay the fans to be there and while they live the highlife driving round in their sports cars (i dont know if you've seen el abd's car and registration plate) but it must have cost a bomb- which comes from our pockets.
without the fans (or customers, as some like to put it) el abd would be flipping burgers.

he should be professional enough to take the criticism with the praise (and the large paycheck he receives from PLAYING FOOTBALL)

We sit behind the home dugout and to us it looked like Adam said fu**ing c**ts two or three times.

At first I thought it was to a player in the away bench but it was clearly aimed at the fans.

There was a lot of booing around us. I never think it's that advantagous to boo or get on your own players' backs, but it's understandable the home fans are getting frustrated.

I think Adam's a great competitor and is committed to the cause, I do not know why he had this outburst but if nothing else at least he is getting worked up.

As for the fans, often they sit on their hands for most of the match then boo at the end - yes, we pay their wages but also would be great to shout and make some noise now and then.

We have the making of a great side and I believe it's about confidence. Adam shouldn't have sworn at kids in the stands but at least he showed some passion.

:albion:

There's some good unbiased points there. You mention early on about how it's understandable that the fans get frustrated, of course it is but the players must feel like that too. And as you say booing an already frustrated player isn't advantagous at all. I personally think if a fans going to give it then he should be able to take it.

Ok, I see what your saying but I think your a bit off the mark with 2 of your points. Firstly, I think the number plate is somebody elses in his family and wasnt funded by El- Abds wages. Secondly, we are in league 1 here, I reckon I earn more than the average Brighton player and I dont earn a fortune.

What is the difference. People think they have to right to boo the players because they've had a bad game, yet when one of the players disagrees and tells the fans to get f***ed, in whichever way he chooses, they get all excited and start whining.

If you think you have the right to boo becuase the team have played bad then do it. Yet if someone tells you to get f***ed or gives the wanker sign to people that boo, accept it, don't whinge.

Footballers are not there to be abused, because someone doesn't think they tried had enough. Anyone who plays football hates losing. The higher the standard you play, the harder losing gets to accept, so don't think for one second that they aren't trying. And when you get a bunch of pricks in the stand booing you because you've lost, what do you except?

Most people in that stand, with a few exceptions, have no right to boo a profesional footballer. Unless you've played a descent standard, you the f*** are you to passs judgement. Most of the pricks that boo and shout abuse, are to fat to put a pair of boots on, let lone play the game.

If you think because you pay to watch you have the right to slag players of, think again. If your that pissed off with the performance, don't f***ing go again. I'm sure you don't be missed by the club.

We're called supporters for a reason. Try and f***ing support them when they're down, not stick the boot in.

Fans are happy to swear at, shout at, gester at and boo players as much as they want, but as soon as a player does anything back then they get their knickers in a twist and the player's a disgrace.

Yes, El-Abd probably shouldn't have done it, but in the heat of the moment he did. Everyone feels the pressure, and gets annoyed at times, and a lot of people would act the same way if they were having a torrent of abuse directed at them.
