Frankly anyone who was offended about the photos here should have not opened the thread. Pictures glorifing war are very dangerous IMHO.

The only thing that offended me were those who complained about the pictures. They are all part of what makes war. it is not all peace treaty's and simple surrender you know.

Isn't Herr Josef Bloshe a big man with his gun? Happily, he was executed in Leipzig on 29 July 1969. The little boy may have become an ENT doctor in New York.

Not as "wank" as your comments. Who has said that they are shit scared of going to war or defending their Country. Just because some of us do not do it for a living it does not mean that if we were called upon that we would turn away and run.:nono: :nono: :nono:

Quite! Taking an interest in people that defended our country is not wrong, and nothing to be ashamed of.

We can't all be in the forces!

If you want to think that it makes you a better person SS, then by all means believe that. I for one, would be happy to defend my country if I was called upon.

And yes, I like to look at war but I'd rather look at it from afar thankyou!

Interesting point but have you the balls to line up at a top of a hill, armed with only an axe, a spear, little protective clobber, againgst a force 3 x times your number with the best cavalry in the world?

Or can you only fight from 800 yards?

I understand where you are coming from but I just felt that a picture of that magnitude was not right to post on a thread that should of been taken light heartedly, if it could so be. Maybe i`m being soft????????

Maybe, but perhaps I'm overdramatic in looking too closely at a thread about war that's supposed to be light-hearted.
The option may be that Lammy could have also been warned that the thread was supposed to be light-hearted!

Maybe it's just me, and I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but a thread about war does seem to lean a bit, towards less-than lightheartedness.
