It was the Christians that forced them off their land , trashed their sustainable way of life, took their land away and forced them into settlements with no resources, alcohilism, povertyand crime. It is ironic that the god she refers to is the same one that the muslims believe in.

I am an Australian immigrant who doesn't accept many of 'our' christian beliefs. I will not leave because i share my views with many many other people who live here.

The stupidity of the above statement is that we all adapt in some way to the different cultures around us. Australia is the wonderful place it is because of the many different cultures that make up it's people. We all need to adapt a little when new people join us, it's not really that hard is it?

Be that as it may, the integration of Muslims didn't really work very well anywhere
in the world (whether in Australia, Netherlands or former Yugoslavia). For some reason
the integration of Muslims would seem to be more difficult than it is in case of other
immigrant groups.

Or maybe they just need more time; we have a tiny Muslim minority in Poland, and they
are lovely people - cultivating their customs and tradition and being by and large hard-working,
law abiding citizens. However, the majority of our Muslims have been with us for over 600 years
now (they stayed in Poland after medieval Mongol invasions), so they had much more time
to adapt than Muslim communities in Australia, for example.

The nation that is Australia today was not founded by Aboriginals.

It was colonized by the English and it was through the hard work of people from all around the globe that modern day Australia came to be.
