The exchange is not available for all matches for example Fulham . Villa not yet on as I would buy ticket for a friend near my seat but can't.
I wonder if they opened the exchange 48 hours before whether the extra they might make in beer / burger / merch sales outstrip the lost revenue from seat sales.

If I was at the club I would definitely want to do a test with one of the stands and open them up early and compare the sales for a similar match.

I’ve had a couple of occasions where the exchange not opening has resulted in people not joining me. To counter, I wonder how many people put tickets on exchange, don’t sell but then make a late decision to go.

If you can afford the direct debit then you could afford a standing order into a high interest regular savings account. And why would anybody expect to pay interest to the club when you are in effect paying months in advance for any named game?
Plenty of other clubs not only charge interest but also extra fees for the privilege of allowing you to pay by monthly instalments.
Something i have not seen discussed on this thread is that, with no waiting list, if not a lot of albion+ members or others take up the unrenewed 7% of season tickets then there will be more for the club to shift before the exchange will open. This will probably mean that there will be a reduced chance of selling a listed ticket.
Apologies if this has already been mentioned and i have missed it.
It’s Very unlikely that season tickets won’t sell out. There’s no “waiting list”but tickets are offered in windows to A+ members who ve attended most matches first before going on general sale.

As discussed many times, I'm fairly sure the club's first priority is to sell the maximum number of (unique) seats, as recorded for attendance purposes, used for commerical etc.

Well ofc . they want to sell out. And they’ve pretty much sold out every game this season. Now shifting exchange tickets, let alone encouraging/nudging ST holders to always attend - especially for evening games is another matter. - hence I guess the new stricter rules around non attendance. (As there are multiple commercial/atmosphere benefits - even when the tickets are sold out - from having a full ground)
