What a weird analogy.

In any event, I thought the days of getting a quarterly bill and then paying for it down at the Post Office had gone. My direct debits for gas and electric mean I'm always well in credit before my bill is produced.

Are you suggesting the club let's people watch games then bills them after like Gas and Electric ?

I think the club allowing fans to spread the cost of a Season Ticket over 12 months of interest free direct debits , and fee free is not only a benefit , but as others have suggested eg: @Bozza et al - largely the reason the clubs have so many season ticket holders. Not sure i've the lump sum cost of 2 x ESU STickets knocking around my current account.

As for charging interest and "administration fees" and working with credit agencies to manage this side of things then most PL clubs do it and its to the credit of the Albion that they never have and still don't.

Whether all that amounts to a "privilege" - probably not . But a welcome benefit certainly.

Don't know if Albion have ever publicised the figure but presumably tens of thousands.

They’re wrong. They’ve 1.1 billion members Probably more as I type!
