Stat just mentioned on TMS is a bit worrying ...
In the last 130 overs only ONE wicket to a bowler [+ 2 run-outs]

We need to take another 18 wickets to win this match, can't see it myself.
As Boycs would say; "My mum could bat on that with a stick of rhubarb!"
Our only hope is for a SA batting collapse - on this track that looks a tad unlikely

Draw.

Could have happened had we not dropped these two.

The only way a wicket seems likely to fall.. Amla nearly run out backing up

but he is safe... 258-2 (87.5 overs)

Amla 119*, de Villiers 85*, partnership 173 and counting...

You'd have thought the 3rd umpire would have checked his ground first? We had over a minute of reviews of whether Finn touched the ball - all irrelevant because Amla was well safe anyway.

Too many dropped catches - if we had taken them then we would be on for a win, looks like a clear draw from here, but odd things happen

A wicket... WOW!

Short ball from Finn to de Villiers... pulled and caught by Anderson.

268-3, trailing by 361

Important session for England... a couple of wickets and this lead of 339 will start looking useful...

What sort of name is "Faf", anyway? His real name is François, I'm struggling to work out where Faf comes in. They do like an unusual name down there, don't they?

They certainly do. Faf is a shortening I guess, a bit like Robert and Bob. There will be some logic to it - for example, my sister-in-law's name is Jacobe Wilamena but is known as Jacomein. When I meet a nice South African (who will know the answer), I will let you know what they say.

114.3 Hales to Amla, no run, pull the pin next time Halesy! Tossed high above the eyeline and plopping on the crease like a seagull turd. Defended

114.2 Hales to Amla, no run, raggedly flung onto a loopy teasing length. Get out to that if you dare!

114.1 Hales to du Plessis, 1 run, A leg-stump half-formed lollipop lob-down, tapped to square leg

114.6 Hales to Amla, no run, weeeee.... plop. Please, for the love of Test cricket, don't do that again

114.5 Hales to Amla, no run, loopy lobby flighty but not very bitey. Blocked

114.4 Hales to Amla, no run, loopy full toss. His first bad ball. Sort of...
