I work monday to friday if weekend or unacceptabke hours became compulsory I would walk regardless of any amount of additional money or benefits.

I have no idea what you do for a job but I can't think there is much of call for an underground driver anywhere else in the country.

They should live outside and travel in like nearly everyone else. It's not like they'll have to pay for their transport either. #NeverHadItSoGood

If my employer says jump I either jump or jump ship end of, and guess what, there's plenty of people Qing up for my job.

What a lovely environment to work in. Out of interest what field do you work in?

I'm not saying fire everyone, just the ones whose jobs can be done by machines.

Do you watch a lot of science fiction?

More than half the population would snatch there hands off for a job on the tubes

Possibly. But part of the reason the jobs have desirable pay and conditions is because employees have stood up over the years.

We should be celebrating and supporting highly desirable jobs, not the opposite.

From what I've read (admittedly, not a great deal) I have some sympathy for them. Regardless of the pay element, to suddenly be told you could be working nights and weekends with no real limitation or warning is a bit ridiculous, the whole concept of a work/life balance would go straight out the window.
