Shouldn’t there be a prebudget drinking thread for this….or does that happen tomorrow to drown our sorrows

Aye, and not in a good way. This next budget could be life-defining.
It's like a respectful slap in the face rather than back handed
Doesn’t matter but just make sure you buy the stuff before KO.Shouldn’t there be a prebudget drinking thread for this….or does that happen tomorrow to drown our sorrows
I did put in my OP that the impact particularly on the hospitality industry will be huge.Ok I’ll bite. The increase in minimum wage is a real kick in the teeth for those people who are already earning just above the minimum wage. I doubt they’ll get a pay increase (employers just can’t afford it) so the differential is eroded. No incentive for the lowest paid to work hard if the government is going to hand out pay rises to them at the expense of their employers. More businesses will go under as a result.
I afraid Bray is telling it how it is. Whether we like it or not Brexit was an act of self harm economically.Watching BBC and that tired odious lush Steve Bray has obviously been on the Stella already.
So you really think those on the minimum wage should take an inflation and cost hit so those better off don't suffer? You sound like an employer from the Victorian era.Ok I’ll bite.
