If you came up against either in a narrow lane and needed to get by them I would fancy my chances more against the crocodile. The Polar Bear is a better all rounder which would be demonstrated if the two competed in a triathlon.
The croc doesn't have enough tricks in it's bag to out muscle PB.

This is closer than I thought it would be. The croc's still just out in front, can he hold on?

The Polar Bear is a magnificent competitor but his achilles heel is lack of adaptability. He's perfectly suited to his environment but a change of a couple of degrees in the worlds climate will see him go the way of the Dinosaurs. The Dinosaurs, lest we forget, who were the compatriots of the dinosaur before they didn't have enough about them to survive the asteroid strike, climate change/whatever that lead to their extinction. The croc just shrugged it off and carried on being an apex predator.

The crocodiles ability to survive for 2-300million years, the last 80m of which virtually unchanged, really can't be overlooked. Not only is the croc hard in the here and now, he has been for hundreds of millions of years and will continue to be in the future. The same can't be said for the Polar.

What a joke result..... The crocodile may look tough but its just an ugly sack of shit, stick an elastic band on its snout and its nothing.

Polar bear looks cute but its one mean, tough mother..... How could it lose

It's getting the rubber band there in the first place that's the tricky bit.

Can't decide, both were my favorites.
Exactly. It's all very well the cleverest animal the world has ever seen being able to work out the power of a rubber band, but how many other animals even have access to a rubber band, never mind the gonads to attempt to apply it?
I still cannot decide. I'm in awe of the croc's power and longevity, I'm in awe of the polar bear's ability to survive in the harshest climate and brazen attempts to seek out and EAT humans. He KNOWS your human and yes he DOES want to eat you. None of this "mistaken for a seal/hyena nonsense".

When I went to Oz some years back we saw a croc affectionately known as "Gummy". As he was an oldster he had lost most of his teeth. As it turned out this wasn't as much as a problem as you might imagine. Apparently he had taken out an unsuspecting pig a few weeks back and his jaws had enough strength to do the job, teeth or no teeth.

Hard!

The final two hours and the polar sneaks into the lead...

Here's some questions for anyone undecided:

1)How effective would a polar bear be with a missing limb?

The croc can comfortably survive with a missing tail/limb. That's hard.

2)Has the polar bear outlived the dinosaurs? Has evolution let it be for 80million years because it can't improve on its design?

The answers yes and yes for the croc.

3) Can the Polar bear cope with global warming or will it become extinct?

The croc can cope with ease.

That has swayed me, I think.

Will leave it until the last few seconds.

If it helps, I forgot to add question 4:

4) Does the Polar Bear have its own trade mark killing move?

The croc does- The Death Roll.

But in favour of The Polar Bear, it has been observed waiting at blow holes in the ice for Beluga whales to surface, PUNCHING them repeatedly before pulling them out by their jaws, and them whales weigh about a tonne.

Is that hard or just strong? a beluga whale isn't going to fight back against a polar bear on dry land
