I didn't advocate 'harassing the crap' out of any ethnic group, I advocate stopping and searching those the data indicate are most likely to be carrying knives, so if it it white males between the age of 16-25 in certain post code areas then 'harass the crap' out of them and if it p*sses them off then tough s**t because if it deters even some from carrying a knife then it's worth it.

By the same token if we interned every muslim in the UK it would put a stop to Islamic terrorism overnight.

And if we inter every white male between 16 and 25 it would nip right wing terrorism in the bud, too.

Likewise if you never fall in love you'll never have your hear broken.

Not really a good analogy . Islamic terrorism tends to be confined to the younger age set , 16-35 - there are a few older examples but in the main it’s younger people usually men but not always who have usually been radicalised in some way .

Right wing attacks , interestingly enough not always white perpetrators but yes the age group is usually young ish with a few exceptions.

As other posters have said, the perpetrators of knife crime seem to vary depending on where it’s happening . Lots of publicity in London by the media where’s it’s usually young males mainly black but not exclusively but let’s remember the victims are also usually but not exclusively black .

The stats will vary from city to city although far less likely to happen in more middle class areas where gangs do not reside .

Remember Brighton has a big drug problem but knife crime is relatively low here because we don’t have gangs .

Unravelling all of this.....

The girl was stabbed by a 17 year old with a bread knife (apparently). A bit hard to extrapolate this to gangs.

But of course we could frisk all black boys in school bus queues.

And if not, what exactly?

London has a big issue with gangs . We don’t know yet but I suspect he could be a gang member . Why walk around with a knife unless your anticipating trouble ?
