Not sure that I see how the Currie £250K has been used for McCammon.
Currie was paid wages, Claridge was paid wages. Both of these wages have been saved.
McCammon will be paid wages - this cannot be £250k more in a month than Currie + Claridge.
Perhaps it is being saved for a transfer fee if the...
If "catchment area" is defined as the number of people who could go to a game without the attraction of another club then we should be a big club, however, the people in that catchment area have never been exposed to top class football for a prolonged period so they are not gagging for it and...
That's absolute bollox. The club has had plenty of ambition - it just hasn't had the money to achieve those ambitions.
What we have achieved, going back years, has been far in excess of our "potential".
That's an interesting theory. What exactly is our potential?
I think that we have far exceeded our potential given the financial backing available. How the hell do you explain that we haven't reached our potential cos we have no money? If you have no money then you have no potential - or am I...
The tickets say "Unreserved seating" which seems to suggest that they don't expect it to be full as I undertand that FL regulations say that if 90% of the seats are sold then it must be "sit in your seat".
Not a loyalty scheme surely? that would never do. Go and wash your mouth out for suggesting that the club should even consider giving priority for tickets to people who go to all or certain matches - they don't want to do that as it might discourage people who only go to two away games a season...
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: John Madejski (Reading FC) - Why The Animosity?
It doesn't matter what teams they were, they were the 'big boys' of their time - and we were (fleetingly) one of them.
I also remember games against Man U, Liverpool, Everton, Leeds (when they were a big club), Chelsea etc.
Re: Re: Re: John Madejski (Reading FC) - Why The Animosity?
MIGHT get to play with the big boys!!!!
We have been there (1979 - 83) whereas Reading (and Wigan) never have.
