I felt last season that we needed another option alongside Welbeck & Maupay to add some variety. Undav's stats are impressive but I'm not sure Zeqiri or Andone give us anything different.
If we do cash in on Maupay then I hope we can find that elusive no.9 who can compliment Undav and stretch...
Sarmiento & Enciso look to be very promising direct attackers in a mould we haven't seen for a while. If they can break into the side they could be revelations for our style and system.
I think we are a LB/LWB short of a complete squad unless Karbownik can facilitate that position. Then it's...
I'm genuinely a bit disappointed to see him as a transfer target. He was a big part of Potters revolution and helped change our style and focus. If we were to sign a replacement it would soften the blow but currently I'd be happy for him to sign an extension and stay a few more years
Nothing new, Potter loves his players to have flexibility. We build forward with some width from Lamptey & Cucurella and push an extra player centrally into midfield to allow Trossard to roam. Then when out of possession we add an extra player to central defence by dropping a wing back into a...
It's a really good strategy and similar to last season. Many other clubs are using it as a commercial opportunity. If we start the season well like last year then most will be happy for it to continue
It is interesting to see our pre season schedule, how the opposition is strategically chosen based on our stage of progress during the 4 weeks showing an increasing level of intensity as we work towards the start of the season. Whereas other clubs have all sorts of showcase matches around the world
There has been an increase in idiots getting onto the pitch and players being attacked by 'fans'. The Amex has history of arrests and bans for those who encroach onto the pitch during celebration so nothing new for us. Hopefully less time spent waiting for the debacle to be dealt with
I don't see him fitting within our financial structure. Equally his age makes him an expensive choice with very little resale value. If he was £20m and aged 25 then he would be a great addition
A huge factor in our appeal to young talent is the fact that we don't hold on to any individual unnecessarily. Players will have the opportunity to develop with us, if they hit the heights then they will get game time and if the find a ceiling is met we will listen to offers for them to continue...
I had hoped when we sold White that it would pave the way for Ostigard but to get game time ahead of Dunk, Webster & Veltman always was unlikely hence the loan.
Potter has shown he is bold enough to play individuals when they are ready especially talented midfielders
Can anyone decide Weir "The challenge for him is to grasp this opportunity to continue his development, show consistency in his levels of performance and fulfil that obvious potential"
I'd like to think there was an Ant & Dec style meeting with all the players whilst Graham and Tony shouting out names and presenting plane tickets with the phrase "Insert Player's name, You've got a seat on the plane"
I'm assuming it will only involve those who featured in Saturday's game vs USG + some first team regulars like Trossard, Caicedo, Sarmiento. There's no point letting 50+ players think they may be involved this season when we are planning for them to have loans arranged
