8.4.5 Discussions have been held with Southern Rail, the rail operator that runs services to Falmer Station, with regards to the spare capacity that currently exists on the rail services and the potential to increase rail capacity.
8.4.6 With regards to the latter, we have been advised that...
14 actually. :)
Network Rail is to centralise all its signalling into just 14 regionalsignalling centres by 2030, with work beginning in Control Period 5 (2014-19). There are currently 800
signal boxes and centres. The cost of consolidation will be £1.1bn, but £250m will be saved each year once...
Funny you should mention that...
8.6.5 As such, as part of the extension proposals, the Club will trial the provision of a shuttle
service from Brighton City Centre to The Keep.
Double decker trains could, perversely, lead to less capacity not more. They require a longer dwell time at stations to allow more people on and off. On a high frequency route that could lead to fewer trains being able to run.
I think he's just stating the facts as they stand. I don't think the track is electrified between Ore and Ashford, so it's a technical impossibility for electric trains to run along there. Similarly I doubt diesel and electric units can be coupled together. Attitude doesn't come into it. It's...
Just doubled checked the train times given at the start of this thread. 21:45 couldn't have been the Ashford train so that blows my theory out of the water.
Well, just speculating. Could have been a sound operational reason for not doing so.
I think people appreciate that things go wrong from time to time, but if it was known beforehand that the train couldn't stop for whatever reason/problem, leaving passengers in the dark is incredibly...
It doesn't have 6 carriages added. The 2 carriage diesel train (or single 2 car unit) is replaced by an 8 carriage (or 2 four car units) electric train. It might not necessarily have the same driver.
If it was the 21:17 then that is the Ashford to Brighton service which is normally 2 carriages and doesn't stop at Falmer. If the train that didn't stop had 8 carriages then the Ashford train was replaced by an 8 carriage train en route (probably at Eastbourne). The only reason this would have...
He could have all too easily killed the stadium cold dead if he had been so inclined.
But he saw it's merits and didn't.
He was a friend to us. Let's be a friend to him.
On my tour we were also told £25k a season with catering included. £18k a season without. I expect those prices are before VAT, but don't know for sure.
6 new boxes are in the offing also holding 10 people with the stadium expansion. Plus one box holding 20 people available for hire on a match...
By my reckoning he has scored in his last 8 games for club and country, winning them all and amassing 20 goals in the process. His scoring sequence is 1, 4, 1, 3, 5, 2, 1, 3.
Debrief of Mid-Sussex Seagulls meeting with Richard Hebbard. See, I can cut and paste too. Maybe I should be a journalist.
Richard gave us a rundown on the proposed new training ground at Lancing, details of the proposed next stage developments of the Amex, followed by a lively and honest...
"Having set a precedent of allowing development of the Strategic Gap, the next stage will be a massive development of up to 1,200 house together with retail and industrial units. This next-stage development is mentioned no less than three times throughout the BHAFC planning application."
Well I...
