    Brighton's worst keepers

I think league level has to be taken in to account. Brezovan, for me, is a poor keeper at Championship level (and Casper isn't much better); yep drop him in to our old Div 2 bad old days type teams and he'd look as good or better than some we had.

    NSC scripting errors

The script error means microsoft internet explorer 7 (work) is really struggling. Perhaps I should try some of that work stuff instead of browsing here!

Everyone here is one off the wrist from missing the boat. Welcome to the God thread

This made up God fella is clearly a sperm genocide warlord! Sacrificing millions for the end product, usually, of one. The odds are insane of you being you, but perhaps we should mourn the death in the absorbsion in paper or on ladies tonsils of our kin?!

    Prague Seagulls bar?

Prague Beer Museum Pub was excellent when I was there in November. It has 30+ beers with table service. Reasonably priced in English terms. Steer clear of pretty much any pub near Wencelas (sp?) square and in the area near the famous (and underwhelming) clock, prices doubled from roads 5 mins...

Unpublicised extensions to contracts revealed by the Argus

Is this not the same mistake we made when being promoted to the Championship last time? Dick & Co daftly (although with best of intentions) handed out 3 year, from memory, extentions to some players who never really cut it in the higher league.

    Portsmouth or Southampton???

I lived in Southampton for a good few yeasr before heading back to the serene surroundings of Hove Actually. Like anywhere it has it's good and bad areas, but is a decent enough place to live; if not overly exciting for visitors. I also worked in Portsmouth for a while, which is by far...

    Will Hoskins

He's looked fairly useful in the handful of sub appearances I've seen him in. Too soon to say whether he could be part of the answer to our fairly low scoring rate; but deserves a clean slate in preseason. Would be a shame to see him go without knowing whether he could deleiver he goods. That...

A friend of mine recently bought the following (never posted a picture before so may not work); sums it up for me....

WTF can you get some petrol in this county ?

Sadly this demonstrates why we partake in wars in oil rich countries (whilst leaving other countries alone to slaughter their own people) as if we run out of petrol the system breaks. The public paranioa would be funny if it wasn't so irritating. You only have to mention the possibility of...

    I owe npower £ 152 000. Apparently.

In a previous job I ran the media & MP complaints section for the customer relations dept at a major utility supplier. Raise a complaint with Energywatch. The plus side of this is that a hold will be applied to the account whilst the dispute is dealt with. In theory they could get in trouble...

The Catholics are at it again

It's sad that in this day and age 2000 year old word of mouth and 1500 year old+ books (note the gap between apparent events and writing them down - chinese whispers anyone?) have an active role in political decision making (Bishops in the Lords etc). No one in society should be less equal than...

    El-Abd 250th game/appreciation thread

The most astonishing player transformation I've seen in my years of watching us. From liability to rock solid over the course of 18 months. Last season was the making of him. Long may it continue.

Do you think Micky Adams will ever Manage Brighton again?

No chance, unless things go massively belly up. Mickey was great for the situation we were in the first time around. Generally seemed to struggle at Champ level and above. Many happy memories (I try to blank the 2nd period in charge out as a blip!).

If Gus was offered the Wolves job, do you think he would accept it?

Whilst he'd get great respect by keeping Wolves up, would he want to walk straight in to a relegation battle? The downside to them going down and him finding himself back inthe Championship next year with a bunch of over paid borderline premier League players could be problematic. If he didn't...

Had to get this off my Chest after Sunday Poyet and his Obsession with Barnes

Football ,as ever, is a game of opinions and is better for it. I'll concede that Barnes (and most others) didn't play that well on Sunday; but in my opinion he has improved a lot recently with his change in role. The lays off he makes are often quite clever and he is tracking back a lot more...

    Comedy Football

Men against boys. A bit embarrassing. Brez is a liability; he flattered to deceive on recall but we've now been reminded why he has never been a regular starter.

Liverpool vs Brighton & Hove Albion, FA Cup 5th Round *** Official Match Thread ***

Gus seems to have a blind spot to the Brez situation. His flapping is costing us goals. If you can't catch you certainly can't be a Championship standard keeper. He invites unnecessary pressure on the defence.

Shocking unpredictable news - Pompey in administration again

Sadly, we all saw it coming a mile off and some time ago. What did amaze me was that following their last debacle they saw fit to sign players on 10-20k per week (i.e Lawrence & Kitson) thus showing they'd learnt absolutely nothing from the last time. I've a bit of sympathy for their lifelong...

    Holiday to Thailand Alone

I did Thailand alone, on my way back from a year in Oz. I went on a couple of trips (each was about 4/5 days) with a company called Intrepid. I would highly recommend checking out their website as they take you off the beaten track, showing you the real Thailand. Their prices are very...

    Eurozone bank bail-out.

A 2 tier Europe of those in and out of the Euro is the only workable way (if there is such a prospect anymore). The Euro currency zone has to converge it's economies and be able to flex tax & interest rates in unison. Clearly the problem will be that what suits one country will not suit...
