After his comments yesterday I wouldn't be surprised if he did take it (if he was offered it).

Thing is........ Wolverhampton is an utter shit hole, as is the rest of the midlands.

He could well be asked, but I think he's enjoying his time with us enough to turn them down. I'm hoping our potential will be enough.

After yesterday, I would be amazed if he was still in the frame... I don't blame him entirely for the performance but it will not have done his credibility any favours outside of The Amex!

He is an ambitious man and he will go onto better things one day and if it's not with us then so be it....

We are a club going places and will not struggle to replace him with a quality new manager when the time comes!

At the same time, please give the guy a chance to show some loyalty to us before keep speculating on every job between Accrington Stanley (who) and Chelsea about who will come in for him next!

If he wants to bugger off to a small time Prem outfit then he won't give us a 2nd thought (if he is that way inclined, which I doubt)...To be frank I wouldn't lose sleep over it if I were you guys!

I do wish TB would clip his wings a little regarding his OTT views on every subject... As a boss he hasn't earnt the right,YET!
Spot on and gus really needs a reality check :)

I don't think he is the right man for Wolves at the moment as he took a while to get us going and they need instant results at the moment.

I wanted Sunderland to go for Poyet when Bruce was sacked but I didn't think we'd have any chance of getting him. Everything's in place for a strong promotion challenge for B&HA next season so I cannot see why Gus would leave you for Wolves. At the moment Poyet's career is going serenely and two or three years from now he could be in line for the Chelsea job. One bad move, such as to Woles now, and he could scupper his managerial future.

I don't think he will leave this year, unless Spurs come in for him to replace Harry. But a question I would like to ask is this. Everyone believes we would attract a decent manager as a replacement, who would people want, and who would be interested in your opinion?

Eddie Howe, Karl Robinson, Alan Curbishley just three from the top of my head who I would like to see interviewed. I think we would get very high calibre applications, as we are generally seen as a club that have/will have Premiership credentials.

I think it would be a very close call, with Gus seriously considering it. A tight call, although I think he'd stay here for now.

Hopefully the Reading guy will get it.

I would be surprised if he didnt fancy a crack at keeping them up and wolves are a good club. While hes having a good time here, he doesn't strike me as a man particularly wedded to the club so if he thinks it would further her career he'll go.

Pork pie land.
Easy one to answer - NO!

If it was an established Premiership team, then I think the answer would be tougher to guess. If it were a "big club" my answer would be yes.

Wow 17 Palace fans have voted.

Hearing what Wolves are offering I believe he has a better contract with the Albion, unless he gets some sort of signing on fee.

Whilst he'd get great respect by keeping Wolves up, would he want to walk straight in to a relegation battle? The downside to them going down and him finding himself back inthe Championship next year with a bunch of over paid borderline premier League players could be problematic. If he didn't get them back up at the first time of asking he'd be axed. Wouldn't look great on the CV.

I've voted NO, and tbh, if I was wrong, then I'd be surprised and disappointed to a similar degree as I was when Adams left the first time. You know a good young manager draws interest, and that means you lose them eventually. But with Gus, I still believe that the size of job that would tempt him away is still too big for those clubs to be coming in for him. I don't class a bottom-end Premiership side a move for him, unless it really was a BIG club who had inexplicably slipped that low, such as Spurs when Harry got the job, or maybe if Chelsea "do a Leeds", but more likely would be someone like Aston Villa.

But Wolves, naah. Would be very surprised.

Stan Collymore on talk sport last night said McCarthy was getting £500,000 a year and that they were looking for someone to take the job to the end of the season 13 games.

I believe Gus earns more than that here, is on a long contract and we are on the up, Wolves are not..

Premiership jobs I think Gus would turn down if offered:

Wigan
Bolton
Wolves
Blackburn
West Brom
Stoke
Fulham

And maybe Norwich/Swansea but not sure.
