If you take a look at Brighton fans think they're a bigger club than Wolves - Molineux Mix - Wolves Wolverhampton Wanderers Fans Forum
I don't know who has been saying we are bigger the Wolves. They have had a lot more success than us over the years. However I am get a bit sick and tired of people calling us little old Brighton.
Wish people would realise, that the reason we have not had any success was because of our financial situation and being stuck at the bloody withdean. Even when we where in League 1, we had one of the best home support and also the best away support. So glad we are out of poxy League 1.

Yup, but Wolves fans are very proud. They were the first English team to make it in Europe, in fact European competition came about partially as a result of Wolves' domestic dominance. Wolves fans will never forget those 'good old' days. Historically speaking, Wolves are up there with the top teams in England.
It has to be said, with Wolves sensible spending and slow ground and academy development, they seem to have only half an eye on the present. They are currently focusing on a long term sustainable future. It seems that, in terms of planning long term future stability, Bloom and Steve Morgan have a fair bit in common.

I am not in anyway comparing our history to Wolves. It's just other clubs supporters in general. They always dismiss us as some lower league small time outfit with a few thousand fans, who have got lucky with a new stadium and see our place firmly in League 1 or League 2.

Gus is going nowhere - yet. He's still working on project Brighton.
Gus has everything he needs right here, right now. He's working with a great team, in fantastic new surroundings, he's got more managerial freedom than most, which allows him to run things his way and not the way of an interfering chairman and he's got the backing of most fans
Oh, and he doesn't have to live anywhere near Wolverhampton, which must be bonus
He's got little reason to leave at present, unless one of the big big big teams comes calling
I think Gus'll surprise most and stay and honour his contract (until 2016 ? ) By then, we'll ( fingers crossed ) be in the Prem and Gus's work at Brighton will be done. Then and only then will he move on......possibly

Historically, we are a lower league club. Only once have we ever had a period of ten years when everyone of those was in the top two divisions.
It's true that our capacity for success is so much greater now, though. However, to prove we're not a lower league club requires us to fulfil our potential over time, not merely have potential.

No probs and I understand. I think we all know we are better than League 1. We should be an established Championship especially with our catchement area. The future is good.

But, this time next year, the circumstances won't be the same TD. Wolves will be in the Championship, and we will be one year further on this magnificent journey we are on. I would like to think that in 12 months time, we will be higher in the league than Wolves.

Of course it won't be the same, but what I'm saying is that if we don't look like going up next year (assuming we don't this season), if a similar offer came in, he'd be off.

If he has been given permission to speak to them but the compensation is to high.That is another story altogether.

Wigan I would probably agree with you. I would put Wolves and West Brom potentially in a higher bracket (personally).
