I used to work there. The hotel that is, not the gym and spa. At the time the gym was like a little garage with a few machines in it. This thread does read suspiciously like an advert being disguised as a conversation starter.
Not a particularly strange thing but tried to get rid of our coffee pod machine the other day, as we couldn't justify the amount of plastic waste it creates (I know there are places that recycle the pods, but my understanding is that there is still wastage). Bloke asks if it still works. I say...
Big difference being that Celtic are by far the biggest club in their league (or you could say jointly so with Rangers, won't get into that debate). Whereas by most measures the majority of WPL clubs are probably bigger than TNS. I miss their old ground, it was scenic as ****:
You wouldn't be forced to watch it, and the pitches can handle it nowadays so it wouldn't be doing any harm. I'd have a look - especially if you could take your beer through (which you probably wouldn't be able to). Given the transport issues at the Amex, I reckon there's loads who'd watch quite...
I like moaning about refereeing decisions. It cheers you up on a long train journey home. The defeats and failures will always be there anyway, but its nice to be able to years down the line talk about what would have been if it wasn't for the ****ing ref/lino.
I don't think anyone has been arguing for us to sign tried and tested Premier League players who are still their prime have they? That would be mad. We are one of the poorest clubs in the division (due to our relatively recent arrival) and one that looks nailed on for a relegation battle. Why...
I hope it's true/genuine, and I also think that the reaction from the overwhelming majority of fans would highlight how few in number the dickheads are (apart from at Leeds). For some reason there's one or two phrases in the statement that make me question its authenticity, although I'm hardly...
I like it.
Doubles as my Friday evening out, and means I don't get it in the neck for not being with the family on Saturday. Wouldn't want it every week mind.
I thought the pass back free kick was a bit harsh. Looked like poor control rather than a deliberate pass back. Seen plenty of keepers get away with picking those up in the men's game.
I'd argue the other way around. Why do the MP's get such an influence? Some of them will be relatively new members of the party, whereas there will be some long-term servants who do not currently sit in the house. Also, why do they get a secret ballot? Any time voting is restricted to a small...
Thought I'd tap into the collective mind of NSC.
We have full home insurance complete with emergency cover. A couple of years ago we had an issue where a leaking pipe was causing flooding and causing the boiler to shut down (in January). It took them 48 hours to send someone out, luckily we had...
Not a particularly high level, but I enjoyed having a gander at Taormina (Sicily) FC's home every day on my honeymoon on the cable car from the hotel to town.
It's a public service that we do all use to varying extents. We can argue to the hilt about how impartial it's political coverage is, but it's certainly more impartial than C4 or Sky. At least it officially strives to achieve impartiality. What about things like lower league football coverage...
Gonna be a repeat of the Olympics from 2012. Do I go for broke by putting down all sorts, safe in the knowledge that I'll probably get nothing, but may get one thing. Or do I budget realistically, in case loads of them come in and I actually have to pay for them all?
Two things on this:
One, it's worked in the NFL, despite facing all the same initial skepticism we're seeing here.
Two, the majority of BAME coaches support it, so I understand. It's their time that people are claiming is going to be "wasted". They don't have a problem.
I think you'd be surprised nowadays. There isn't room for detailed battle by battle analysis but I think you'd find in most schools there's a lot of coverage of various tactics and the experience of fighters (and civilians) in many wars, including quite recent ones.
