Good idea on the away match front but we would have to call them "piss up with the lads days" to avoid the involuntary shudder when reading the words "team-building" on any kind of email.
In the Bell Cheese Consultancy Office we would have free milk, tea, coffee and food for all. Free tablets for all employees (to keep abreast of happenings on NSC), weekly trips to the pub (attendance optional) and no animals of any kind allowed in the office. "Team building" events would be...
Imagine all the contributors to this thread started our own company-it would surely be the most productive workplace in the world. No bullshit jargon, no irritating workmates, no crisp munching fatties......bliss.
I picked this mag up in WHSmiths in London a few months back to read on the train, and loved it. Haven't seen it sold anywhere in the Midlands though sadly. Will keep looking!
Would certainly have no issue with going to Turkey. Have visited various parts of the country and love the people, food and culture. Have never felt in danger there. Far more secular than the Arab nations.
Are the goals the same size as in the men's game? They look like they are, surely they could be made a bit smaller to reflect the average height of women compared to men.
Some of the outfield players at the Women's World Cup could easily play at a decent standard in the men's game but is it just me or are the 'keepers all crap?
Another vote for Vincelot, think his versatility was his downfall really.
I remember he filled in at LB against Liverpool (I think!) in the cup and looked really comfortable there. His header against Cov was excellent as well. Seem to remember Gary Gardner scoring against us in that game too...
Agree with that. Looked excellent at WBA, should have stayed there or gone somewhere he would be nailed on No.1 rather than Man Utd. Easy to say with hindsight though I guess.
Birmingham City. Think Rowett has done a decent job there so far, and with a couple of shrewd signings (Already signed PIG today) then they could push for playoffs IMO.
They've obviously forgotten his last minute clanger at St Andrews a few seasons back then....
Joking aside, wish him all the best. Excellent keeper at this level
Happy to help out. Are you just looking for home shirts? Pretty sure I've got the old IT First shirt, the Brighton and Hove Jobs one, first Amex kit as well as the yellow Skint shirt we wore the season we stayed up under McGhee. Probably got a few goalkeeper kits knocking about as well. All size...
Having grown up in Battle, I spent a lot of time in Hastings as a kid/teenager. Was pretty run down in those days, with an 'end of the line' type feel, but seems to be on the up now. To reiterate what others have said: Old Town is lovely, Alexandra Park area is much much better than it used to...
I had exactly the same thing last year. Eventually managed to terminate free of charge as they had hiked the price up a month or so before-they legally have to let you cancel if you don't agree on the new price. A long shot but have you had a price increase recently?
