The articles you've linked are dated in April when Blackpool triggered his extension clause, but the season hadn't finished then.

.

Agreed ! Blackpool is complicated. He's been given the option of an extra 1 year. (much later piece a few weeks ago this time) .

Only three players were "but major question marks hang over [his] Bloomfield Road future..." Manager keeps giving interviews saying he doesn't know what squad he'll have until they come back for training on June 29th.

Does anyone actually know whether or not he is contracted to them? I assume that if he is then it's only so they can screw a fee out of someone who he decides he would actually like to play for.
Sadly, no matter how hard Calde tries, I think it won't be us.

I would LOVE to see Orlandi come back. Although I don't feel the homosexual man-love for him that many of our fans seem to do, I love him as a player. He seems like a great fella that loved this club and this city. Bring him home!

It's 2015 Wellesley and the metrosexual man is perfectly entitled to express his appreciation of the sex appeal of another man (in this case the delicious, borderline edible Orlandi - the thinking man's crumpet) without having prehistoric phrases such as 'homosexual man-love' bandied around in relation to the love that dare not speaketh it's name. Get out of the 1950s and get with the programme!

Wouldn't be at all surprised if he returns, but not before the season has already started.

He is a free agent and not bound by transfer windows, anyway ( unless he signs for someone else in the meantime).

What harm in asking him to train with us and go on the training camp .... none in my opinion, so Chris can take a look....

We have a shortage of left-sided players, but we have JFC and Solly March, so I don't think there will be a place for him. We were right to let him go as he would only be making up the numbers. But he might have won us a few points last season with March getting injured.

Rider: he may actually be better at left back than Chicksen. This would be an emergency and I think Holla might be able to drop back in such a contingency? JFC nad March can't. But we really need a specialist left back.

Any rate for a left sided player I like the look of Jérémy Hélan (Wednesday) but this would require a transfer fee of £2+ million and he might turn us down. This is the standard required and the probable cost.

To sign Orlandi means mid-table at best.
