Have any of you read "Provided you don't kiss me" by Duncan Hamilton? It's an excellent book on Clough, from the highs to the lows.
One story stood out that Hamilton relays. Clough was in Nottingham when a fan and his young son approach him, the dad says his son has saved up all his pocket...
And what a loss that will be. The statue made a good point for me, how many of the current breed of managers, even the good ones, will get that? How many have that connection with their fanbase?
Fergie aside maybe, but nowdays most of his fanbase is from South Korea and Surrey..
It has only been running since January so it's relatively new. I think they had a bit of a disagreement with Virgin over track access rights and what not..
They will appeal though?
Fergie will moan no doubt..."FA biased, I should have appealed against Paul Scholes trying to slam it away from the net or Vidic's rugby tackle"
I think her singing 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton would be very appropriate.
I would chastise you for taking this thread off topic, but seeing as when we signed Nathan Elder, it had you thinking of that KISS concept album..
I didn't come across that one on Cally Road. There were a few there, ADDIS and Marathon spring to mind.
Uncle Eric burgers were my favourite in that area..
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the fact she threw it over Mandy..
I'm just still angry at that ilk because it was that Dan Glass(anti falmer git) who did a similar stunt for that lot last year..
I thought Mandy made the good point about her..
"She didn't explain what she was protesting about, she was too busy throwing custard over me".
Sums those people up in my opinion, like Franks Brother says, its all about stunts and bandwagons as opposed to putting forward their message.
