Completely agree. Of the six mentioned by the OP, Andrews was widely written off in here and has been replaced, Lingard only featured in the last 3 months of the season and got mixed reviews and Orlandi hardly played all season.
Of the defensive three, Ward May still come back, Upson is a blow...
It amuses me so much that if you show any support for the club on here you blindly follow them. You moan about everything and are probably one of the most negative posters on here. I've also rarely seen you make sense with your moans.
It's so sad that there are people on here lining themselves up to say "I told you so" if we get Clement and he fails. I've no idea if all fans forums are like this but it's ridiculous.
Personally, I like the idea that we're not going for the same old managers as other clubs and will support...
Sorry are you genuinely saying that none of those names you mentioned could possibly fail. Hughton got Newcastle promoted with a team that cost a lot. Mackay had a similar budget at Cardiff. Warnock failed to get Leeds promoted in his last job. Sherwood has no experience of managing in the...
I think £5 million is about right. Would give a chance to buy a couple of decent strikers and maybe a bit left over to strengthen elsewhere.
Edited to ask why I got a thumbs down from Footsoldier this? So pathetic. Why not just reply?
You're so clever. He must be terrible as no big club will employ him. Oh sorry, I just realised he's worked at Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid. But obviously you know better than them.
Does it ever get boring being so negative? Is there a manager you would approve of?
Clement could fail if he...
I don't understand why people go on about highest average attendance. All that means is we are notionally top of the list of teams who don't have parachute payments. Last year, we had a successful season, especially with the injuries we had. It seems pretty obvious to most people.
As for Paul...
It all seems to have gone very quiet. Hopefully that means the club are speaking to a potential manager and firming up a deal before announcing anything. I still think there's a fair chance it will be someone nobody has thought of yet!
Absolutely right. It will also help us get the next Rohan Ince/Liam Bridcutt type players who are leaving Premier League clubs and want to try to make it in the Championship. We can now offer them great facilities as well as a new stadium, 28,000 crowds and the chance of going up to the Premier...
Sounds promising. Central midfield looks pretty sorted now with Stephens, Crofts, Nzuzi and Ince.
To those complaining about waiting until the new manager signed, it is pretty clear from the website announcement that he was lined up before Oscar quit so we didn't have an option of waiting. Why...
I've said all along that my first choice would be Steve Clarke. I find it strange that he's not being talked about for any of the jobs currently available. I thought he did a great job at West Brom and was unlucky to get sacked.
Thanks. You've made my point for me. Don't know why I bothered trying to have a sensible discussion. I answered your question and I get a pathetic response like this.
I'll give you credit, you're good. Completely ignore pretty much everything I say and try to take the moral high ground. Well played.
I covered pretty much everything you said but will go back if you want. If you want an example, if the club gave the manager job to Nathan Jones, I would...
Okay, so apparently I have blind faith. Not true and exactly what I'm trying to say. The assumption with the ones who shout the loudest is that those who don't, take in everything the club says.
Let's turn this around and say the club's version of events is very different to Oscar's. What good...
