I think you hit the nail on the head in the original post when you said it was a confidence thing.

Hart did himself no favours by getting sent off for the reserves. He had just forced himself back into the squad and then has to sit out 3 games. I'm not sure I'd play him from the start (although it would depend who else was fit) but he would certainly be useful to have on the bench.
