I agree that keepers go for less generally. As you say it's odd because it's probably the most important position. If your keeper makes a mistake, it generally costs you a goal whereas other positions there's more chance it won't. Stockdale for £1 million would be an incredible signing but...
Hard to see Fulham accepting that sort of money for Stockdale. Would be an amazing signing but seems unlikely he will come here, especially for £1 million.
Would be happy with Henderson but Stockdale would be a fantastic signing. Don't see it happening though as I assumed he would be their number one now and Stekeleunberg would leave.
Thanks for a great post. Personally was surprised when first linked with him, then looked him up and saw he scored 15/16 for you last season. Don't understand why that doesn't pacify some of the idiots on here.
Good luck for next season. Hope you go up and O'Grady is a big reason for us getting...
So you are saying that role models have to be perfect? Surely, as said elsewhere on this thread, he can still be a role model if he's learnt from his mistake (however big it was).
I'm not absolving McCormick but what are you saying? Should he have been sentenced to life in prison and never released? If so, you're classing him the same as mass murderers. If not, what should he do once he gets out. Obviously it's awful for the family but if he was in any other line of...
What an ignorant opinion. Based on your views, prisons would dominate the UK. He made a mistake and served his time. As others said, Plymouth making him captain may not be the best decision but that's not his fault. If you genuinely believe your post, then maybe you should live in the US where...
A lot of loans there. The only clubs he's played for permanently are Leicester, Rotherham, Oldham, Rochdale and Barnsley. At 28, I wouldn't say that makes him a journeyman to be honest.
Just a couple of things. You include Stephen Ward in your comments. Well remember what Wolves fans said about him and many on here thought about him. Who's to say O'Grady won't be the same?
Secondly, based on your post, I'm assuming you've called the club and they've told you that O'Grady is...
Also, in answer to the original question, I think we need a goalkeeper, left back, creative midfielder, winger and 2 strikers (one sounds like it will be O'Grady). Another centre half could be a possibility too but depends on budget.
Where has anyone said that? Everyone knows we need new players, we're just not going to moan when it doesn't happen immediately. This post shows just how pathetic you have been on here tonight.
What an ignorant and arrogant point of view. Just because he's at Barnsley, we shouldn't sign him. Maybe you should write to the club and tell them which clubs we should be looking to sign players from.
Where has anyone said they have 100% faith? Most people have been saying see how it goes. See which players we sign with the Ulloa money. We may even have a few lined up. Give the club a chance to sign players and see what team we have ready for the start of the season. Or you could just moan...
I'd say talking about a lack of ambition and possible relegation is moaning. Don't know what you'd call them.
As for statistically proven, O'Grady record at Barnsley is pretty similar to Ulloa's at Albion and he got one more goal last season at a relegated team.
Who? A striker who got 16 goals in the Championship last season. Or maybe give him a chance to actually sign and then watch and see if he's any good. Crazy idea I know but give it a try.
Honest answer, no. Mainly because I believe he'll be back up to our main striker rather than first choice. If he is first choice, I would be confident he'd get two thirds of the goals he got at Barnsley last season.
