I think Nugent is out of contract currently at Leicester anyway so he'd have to sign his contract only to then sign for us in exchange for Ulloa. Would be an odd move.
It's been a poor season but I think there has been a lot of injuries and the loss of Jordan has really cost us. If you look at the absentees today - Yardy, Machin, RHB, Jordan, Lewis, Anyon, Prior - most counties would struggle with that.
I'm getting bored of this argument so will leave it after this post but I don't think anyone is saying we don't need to get moving on signings or mentioning the closing of the transfer window.
All I have said is that is boring that people spend all their time on here moaning that we haven't...
Sorry but this is just a cop out. I don't like being called a customer either but to use it in this case is ridiculous. Clubs don't ask fans their opinion on signings whether they are called fans, supporters, customers or whatever.
You also don't seem to have an opinion, just want to moan about...
Hopefully, after a few loan spells, he's ready to be an option. March broke through last year so maybe it's his turn.
Buckley is key this season. If we could keep him fit somehow, he will play a huge part but he won't do if he can't get a run in the side due to injury.
I'm feeling reasonably positive. If we get to the start of the season and only have bought one or two players, that will change but I'm positive we will.
Although it was only a friendly, the way they setup yesterday sounds positive and hopefully we'll attack more under Hyypia. I'm hoping they...
Yes, it would be great to provide more support to Ulloa. Encouraging if we're going to do that under Sami.
Interesting he played KLL and Buckley in the same half. May mean nothing but I know a lot of people have been calling for that and it worked really well at home to Palace the season before...
Yes that would change things completely. We'd probably have enough to match their asking price then too. I still think if Ulloa goes, we will look abroad to replace him. Much better options available for the same money,
Except it's not quoting is it. The two summers under Poyet we bought lots of players in. Do you really think Poyet wasn't supported in the transfer market?
As for your other comment, it was clearly sarcastic.
Finally, you still haven't answered my question. I don't understand why people can't...
From looking at the Bristol City forums, it doesn't seem likely they'll let him go. I doubt he'd want to be back up to Ulloa anyway and I can't believe Leo will want to back him up.
I think there's a fair chance that Nathan Jones will become assistant but I don't think you can take yesterday's game as a sign. Sami doesn't have an assistant at the moment so getting the man who did it last year to take on the role for the match seems logical, doesn't necessarily mean it will...
Was highly rated as a youngster and is still only 21. Could be a useful player to bring off the bench if Sami plans on starting both Buckley and KLL (only based on the fact they started the friendly together). Wouldn't be against this signing but will have to wait and see if there's any truth in it.
Reading through this thread again, pretty much all your posts are digs at the club. Saying that we've always had these problems before and lost two managers and Hyypia will be the same. Do you not regard that as criticising the club? Also, looking back to the start, your comment asking if that...
If you say so. You've still not given me a good reason for slagging off the club now rather than waiting to see what happens and how we look at the start of the season.
Not really. Hyypia obviously wanted to have people signed this week. I'm sure he'd have loved his full squad confirmed by then. But, as I asked you before, if we do sign these two on Monday, how much difference do you think it will make? Do you think Sami would be worried if we get the right...
