That's the one.

Are we allowed two players called Dale in the squad though?

We can have up to 3 according to the Football League rules but a fourth would need clearance to make sure he has never hosted a game show. Pathetic rules IMO.

I think there's a rule about how many Dales you are allowed. Unlike Will or Dean.

Let's hope the club are checking this thoroughly.

There is a 3 point automatic penalty for fielding an in eligible Dale.
Not sure Sammi would know this though.

I'm always concerned when I hear we are interested in signing players called Dale. I think back to Dale Jasper and shudder. He never set the world alight. In fact he use to frequently border on useless. I remember him as lightweight and rather lazy. His moment of glory for us came when he stopped a certain goal by punching the ball away with his fist. Everyone in the ground except the Ref saw it which was rather fortunate for us. Then there was Jason Peake? He was lazy and useless too. He may not have been christened Dale, but he came from Rochdale, so guilt by association is good enough for me to damn him. This Jennings gets homesick by accounts? Nah, he's a wrongen. Not for us.

Next........

I would hope so as he was good when he played against us. Having said Northampton had a youngster who gave us problems but never seems to have pushed on and been signed by anybody.

Feel the same way. Although still young Bayern seemed to release him quite quickly, so maybe not as much potential as was initially thought.

Was highly rated as a youngster and is still only 21. Could be a useful player to bring off the bench if Sami plans on starting both Buckley and KLL (only based on the fact they started the friendly together). Wouldn't be against this signing but will have to wait and see if there's any truth in it.

Random or what?
I'm guessing that was Michael Jacobs who will be terrorising us for Wolves this season.....scored 7 in 20 or so games from the wing last season after not fitting in with Clough in a brief stay at Derby

Jennings would be the missing link we needed in midfield last year between defence and attack. Plus he was at Liverpool as a youth player at the same time as Hyypia so it's likely Jennings would know him.

He was branded a wonder kid with a big future when at Tranmere but it didn't quite work out for him in Germany...I was very surprised when he moved to Barnsley last year as he would be more than capable of playing at a top of the table side.

Would be very happy if this happened.

Another Ryan Bernard Harley? This 'not yet fulfilled potential' tag always makes me feel a little uncomfortable.

Isn't that Stephens role?

Billy McKay maybe? But he's certainly done alright for himself since leaving Northampton, albeit in the SPL.

Both he and Jacobs scored against us in that miserable 2-0 League Cup defeat at Sixfields a few years back.
