Crowhurst Road used to have quite a few firms and, I believe, some 9,500 worked on that road in it's prime. That was a sight to see them all coming out at knocking-off time. They had to stagger the times the various firms closed in order to deal with the crowds. I was at Gross/Chubbs.

Nine of the starting 11 were playing Div 1 last year so no wonder the gulf in class. The squad is now evolving in and getting better but those who think we are ready to go up this season maybe ought to think again.

That Liverpool team were near invincible and the FA Cup really meant something. Albion played like heros, everyone of them. Our 4,000 fans were awesome.

For future ref, I'd guess it is at the bottom of the old school entrance. From Coldean Lane heading towards Falmer, take right at the lights under flyover, you can the set down/pick up and you'll then be heading towards Brighton. Those going to the match head under the railway bridge and turn left.

Walking past the South stand after the Millwall game and some of their fans are high on nostalgia.
