It's fair to say that relatively few people used the term (no more than said "lickers"). Also, the people going over the top weren't just the ones calling for Burke/Barber to be sacked.
I've seen a few posts from you that I would regard as excessive and not giving the club a chance to finalise...
I think the big question is why Poyet chose to spend money on a player who didn't fit his system. Poyet's signings tended to fit the system we played but with CMS it's a bit of a mystery as his thrives on teams getting the ball forward quickly.
Hopefully under Hyypia, he can prove he is good...
Think that's harsh on CMS. We've never really played to his strengths and he missed over a year with the injury. Think we could be about to really play to his strengths and with him, Baldock and Colunga (although I think he'll play wider) and then O'Grady to come on as plan B, we're looking as...
Complete rubbish. As I've said before, the term bedwetter is ridiculous but it was used to describe people who were throwing their toys out of the pram and abusing Burke, Barber, Bloom etc. There were a lot of them.
I don't know one fan who wasn't concerned after Birmingham. However, some of us...
The term bedwetters is ridiculous but there are a lot of people on here (not a few as others have said) who should learn from this summer. We didn't do our business immediately but most clubs don't (the only ones who do are the clubs who are happy to sign anyone almost or have lots of money e.g...
Was thinking about my team until I saw this. Pretty much the same team I'd play when everyone's fit.
Subs could be Ankergren, Calderon, Hughes, Ince, March, LuaLua, Mackail-Smith
Then you have the likes of McCourt, O'Grady, Nzuzi, Crofts etc not in the 18. We've put together a fantastic squad...
Very happy with the signing of Baldock. Fits perfectly with the football Sami clearly wants to play. Looking at the video of his goals on this thread, he's working the defence, getting in between gaps and scoring poachers goals. Exactly what we need.
I think he and CMS will compete for the main...
In fairness, we signed Texeira and Bennett ahead of McCourt. And I think that he, Hughes, Nzuzi and O'Grady will have a part to play this year. It's a squad game after all.
Definitely capable of a top 6 finish. Doesn't mean we will but I'm optimistic.
We've not directly replaced Ulloa with one striker but hopefully Baldock, Colunga, CMS, Texeira and O'Grady will make up for any shortfall and the midfielders will get goals too. Defensively we look solid again too...
I'm sure I read somewhere that he had a medical here on Sunday so wouldn't read anything in to Twitter rumours. He probably will still choose Hull but don't think we can assume based on Twitter.
Yes, another great ball through for the first penalty last night. The subs (along with them going down to 10 men) won us the game last night!
Note to NSC, don't slag off a signing until you've seen him play!
What a load of rubbish. Except for Colunga, with other players having left, the only two Spanish players are Calderon and Bruno and they both speak good English. Surely, on your basis, the new manager should know every language in case we get a new signing who doesn't speak English.
Agree completely with this. One of the wayward passes did lead to their first goal but he hasn't played a competitive match this season so he's not going to be perfect.
On the other hand, he looked a threat. Looking forward to after the international break (as missing Saturday), when Sami's had...
If he's as good as they say he is, I doubt Lenihan would be development squad. It's our main chance over Hull as presumably he would be there.
If he fulfils his potential, I'd see him as alternating with Calde/Bruno this year and then being our main right back from next season onwards.
Anyway...
Absolutely. It makes a great change. I might rest JFC on Saturday as he played the full 120 minutes yesterday and has played every game this season but don't think they'll be loaning him out as Sami obviously rates him.
My team for Saturday would be:
Stockdale
Bruno
Greer
Dunk
Bennett
Holla...
