But given the current lack of creativity (especially with LuaLua suspended), why not start him yesterday. If he's not doing what Hyypia wanted, he could bring Texeira on instead. As it was, McCourt had more impact in the 20/25 minutes he was on than the rest of the team in 90 and if we had...
I'm on the fence, mainly (as with most of the people who voted him out) because I've no idea what control or what budget he has. The signings haven't done great so far but if we had a striker who could score and played to the strengths of our team, I think we could do well with this team...
In fairness, I'm not slagging off Tony but how much have we made from selling Bridcutt, Buckley and Ulloa in the last year? A lot more than we've spent. I'm not criticising just wanted to point it out. Hopefully, there'll be money for new players on loan now and signings in January.
Sadly I've moved to the out group. I've backed Sami and still feel he's been let down in terms of recruitment (whether you blame Burke, Bloom or the players themselves). However, today we faced a Rotherham team who cost a lot less than us and we were fortunate to draw. We made them look really...
Are you a joke account? You've been on about Stockdale all season yet claiming you want him to succeed. When he has his best game for us (and everyone else says he's man of the match) you still go on about not keeping a clean sheet. What exactly is your point? He had no chance with the goal!
To be fair, I'm not saying we should have spent £7 million on a striker (£2.5 - £3 million was what I'm aiming for) or that Tony Bloom planned to use the Ulloa money to repay himself. My sole point, in a thread asking whether we should sack our manager and the majority saying yes, is that in my...
Read my whole post. I've clearly said it's his right to do what he thinks is best for the club. However, I'm fed up with everyone else being blamed e.g. Burke, Barber, Hyypia etc when Tony Bloom decides the budget and what is spent. He's the one who makes all those decisions I'd imagine...
One goal against Charlton and the Cardiff equaliser were his fault. He might have done better with a couple of other goals but only two can be blamed on him.
He's not a poor keeper. He's had a tough start here but did well enough in his time at Fulham (in the Premier League) and on loan at Hull...
The sad thing is, given the lack of credit you give him for what was a fantastic save, you clearly don't want him to succeed. You've written him off and anything that he does well is ignored as it goes against your opinion.
I'm not necessarily criticising Bloom. He has spent a lot of money and it's his right to do what he wants. What I'm saying is it's harsh to blame Hyypia for that. He deserves a fair go but if we have a bad week (don't win one of the next two games), sadly I think he'll be gone.
In the last 12 months, we've made about £15 million through the transfers of Bridcutt, Barnes, Buckley and Ulloa. We've only brought in Stephens, Stockdale, Baldock and O'Grady for significant transfer fees (somewhere in the region of £4 million). Clubs who make that kind of profit over a year...
And that's the problem for Stockdale. He's compared to Kuszczak who did well but had two season behind a very solid team with quite a defensive formation. We've suddenly got a more attacking team, especially the full back, leaving the keeper more exposed. That's apparently Stockdale's fault.
Why do I bother? Apparently everyone on here wants our goalkeeper to be diving in in the penalty area and risking giving away a penalty (which is a risk whatever you think). I'm sure you should all be goalkeeping coaches and teach that!
And why's that? I'm sure I'll be told that he shouldn't be on Twitter if he doesn't want feedback however for our fans to go and attack him there is hardly helping!
He would have had more if he hadn't had his shirt pulled. I was just interested in whether you were saying you disagreed with the fact he had his shirt pulled. If you didn't see it, fair enough but it definitely happened. Greer could probably have done better. D'Urso should definitely have done...
What a bizarre comment. Yes, they did score anyway but he stopped the striker shooting by closing him down and his defence should have closed down the other Middlesbrough players.
Also, I don't think he was slow off his line early on and it wasn't a penalty but it's a completely different...
If you say so, but anyone who looks back at your Stockdale comments will see a number of people arguing with you when you've criticised Stockdale and you always having a go at him (yesterday's first goal being a classic example).
I'm sure he'll keep his place against Huddersfield and Rotherham...
And if he takes out their player and gives away a penalty, then he's blamed by people like you and BensGrandad for diving in. He does the right thing, stops the player shooting. It's not his fault we have no defensive cover anywhere near Tomlin to block the shot.
Your opinion is so pathetic and biased that it's completely irrelevant. If Stockdale made six brilliant saves but conceded one goal which he had no chance with, you'd still blame him.
Basically, you decided before he signed that he was rubbish and are now slagging him off at every opportunity...
