The old Bevendean Hotel (pub) has just been extensivly re-furbished and, although not all the building is pub (flats above) permission has been given for a community pub and they are desperatly seeking interested parties. Might be a bit far from central Brighton but is in the Amex part of town...

They may well argue that this is very green and providing 'nature reserves' all over the City. Of course it doesn't work on those verges that have already become the personal parking space (dirt track) for the nearest car owner.
