Boxpark was good. Carling was £4.50 a pint (yes I know its Carling, but we were there early so I didn't want to get spannered), and had a very decent double cheeseburger with fries for £11 as well. These were not the London prices I was expecting. Loads of staff, so there were barely any queues...
Just feel pig sick at that. United were absolutely there for the taking, but BHA were in one of their "let's walk it into the net" days. Time and time and time again we were properly IN on them, but took the extra touch, the extra pass. Absolutely MADDENING. Should've had that game won 3 times...
Nottingham is wonderful.
There's a terrific bar called the Pit & Pendulum just up from Market Square. A gothic-horror style pub which, when I last went, had The Shining playing on a loop. And good luck finding the hidden door for the gents. Great gaff, I love it there.
And if The Reflex 80s...
All a bit WANKY, isn't it ?
Whats the obsession with some fans to get "up close" with the players ? Reminds me of the insufferable DILBERTS who crowd the Liverpool / Chelsea / Man City coach (delete as applicable) when it arrives at the Amex, just to catch a GLIMPSE of some disinterested...
Disagree re Rashford. I watched him closely when he came on last night, and although not much came off for him, he was still busy and active running the channels - "ambling" he was not.
He looks fit to me, and with Martial going off crocked (as per usual) I fully expect him to start on Sunday...
Can't rule anything out I guess, but we're getting to our hired driveway in Harrow for 11.30, so the wispy-chopped beany hat ecovists will barely be out of bed by then.
I am SO glad I'm not involved with any trains / tubes goonery on Sunday, sounds like an impending clusterfuck of almighty proportions. Good luck folks x
He's under contract there till 2028 and they paid £63m for him. He'll be on monster wages. Unless Chelsea are prepared to take a MASSIVE hit (doubtful), then nobody outside the PL could afford him. And nobody in the PL would want him.
Unless he gets loaned out, he's well and truly stuck there now.
Doesn't need to be at or near Wembley Stadium. They could easily bollocks up the road, rail or tube network, making it even more of a mission for everyone to get there.
Well they've certainly managed to piss a lot of people off, so job done I guess.
Would you still be such a fan of these Stop the Oil scamps if their antics resulted in stuffing up your afternoon this Sunday ?
Indeed. And how would banning oil alter that ? People will always need energy one way or the other, and governments / energy companies will always hold the cards. There's vested interests that will hold these powers in place.
These protests will amount to nothing (except people being...
I was referring to the various protests on the M25 and the QE2 bridge, by the same group, which caused massive disruption to thousands of people.
The snooker thing was minor in comparison I agree, although gained huge coverage which is of course the whole point.
Fair point. But inconveniencing a small sprinkling of football fans on a day out, compared with bollocksing up the working day of thousands and thousands of people just trying to go about their daily lives is not a likewise comparison. The principal behind it may be the same, but its a stretch...
Yes, because I'm sure everyone is always well across all the planned GOONERY of these herberts. What heroes they are. Like everyone, I always make a point of checking news and websites to see if someone is planning on climbing up and hanging over J16 of the M25 at 8am with a scabby banner before...
I didn't have to suggest it - It actually happened. As did some poor soul who died in the back of an ambulance from heart failure, stuck in a vast tailback on the M25 on the way to hospital, as a direct result of some No To Oil hand-gluers bringing it all to gridlock.
Price worth paying ? Mmmkay.
