There aren't many fans that would have had a season ticket for the last 10 years in a row, but would still the majority as loyal as myself. As you say we have come along way in the last couple of years as a club, all the fans moaning at each other won't get us anywhere
Is indeed, the guy that sits next to me in the North stand was telling stories to me and a mate about some of the scraps back in the 80's ect. you could see how much it meant to beat Palace to him. It just frustrated me so much to see the performance they gave last night against our main rivals...
I left early yesterday as I couldn't deal with losing to palace of all teams in the maner that we did was sickening. Had a season ticket for 10 years been to 13 away game for last two seasons at the age of 18. That was harder for me to take personally than relegation a couple of seasons back at...
Yeah I was in the South Stand back then when it was known as the family stand Block B area. Having promotion to League 1 in my first year as a season ticket holder made it easier to put up with the rain.
I remember back in 2001-2003 (I was only about 8 or 9) that the South stand North Stand song was a regular occurrence at Withdean (obviously no where near as effective as it is now I should add)
Just when people were starting to doubt him he comes out with a performance like that tonight.
First goal - Quality turn with a tidy finish
Second Goal - His run behind the defenders paid off to make the penalty
Third Goal - Right place right time.
More of the same on Tuesday CMS :clap2:
I think half the problem was when we had penalties missed when he was on the bench. Everyone jumped to the conclusion that we didn't have a penalty taker in the side
To be honest anyone that was at Withdean when we lost 1-0 to 9 men against Walsall would be the happiest fans on the planet right now. Quality football, quality atmosphere in a quality stadium. The fan saying that at the game probably hasn't seen us play before. Roll on Leeds and Palace.
Thought it sounded much better that they stopped half way through when the players come out. Saved us being drowned out by the music... not sure what the atmoshpere sounded like on the telebox but it was electic in the stadium tonight. More of the same against Palace and Leeds
