Wasn't our strongest team out possible but they were f***ing class, If we can play like that against a team challenging for the top 4 in the Prem we can beat anyone in this league, tonight we were very promising and I hope we can carry on through out the season !

We did ourselves no justice in the 1st half and froze. The scousers should have been out if sight at half time but the 2nd half...... Well..... Just wow. Out played them, they couldn't get the ball off us for periods. Buckley noone, vincelot, bridcutt, then lovely little cameo's from Lua Lua and the classy Vicente. Shame Dalglish was such a grumpy old twat in the interviews on sky after.

They all looked nervous at the start and let Bellany in. Once settled in the second half, restricted them to one shot (goal). Shows that Gus's tactics are spot on and we can compete with anyone. Vicente looked class. So many positives. Left feeling happy that we are truly going in the right direction. say no more!

I think in the 1st half the team were like shit we playing against liverpool what the f*** do we do, then at half time with a little bit of Gus talk, it changed them it was like we had 5 extra men on the field they could not do anything

This must be the happiest i've ever felt after a defeat. With even more faith in the quality and especially the depth in the team, like many other i feel like we can really make an impact in the league (not using the P-word yet) ... Plus Vicente is TRULY AMAZING, and is a presence on the pitch not just a name.

Great game. Neutrals must have enjoyed it on sky sports. Liverpool owned the first half and we had the second. Incredible noise in the stadium at times tonight too. Wonderful stuff and just two days till we're all back there again!

A guy coming out of the ground, said to his mate, that he hopes we don't go up this year, as we would be outclassed every week. I was like WHAT, we were bloody brilliant in the second half. We were playing a team that 6 years ago were European Champions ffs. I am so proud of everything about us at the moment. Great team, great stadium and great supporters. Those doubters should have a look on Liverpools main forum, most of them reckon we will go up, if we keep playing like we did in the second half.

To be honest anyone that was at Withdean when we lost 1-0 to 9 men against Walsall would be the happiest fans on the planet right now. Quality football, quality atmosphere in a quality stadium.The fan saying that at the game probably hasn't seen us play before. Roll on Leeds and Palace.
