automation is the only solution unfortunately. all this 'just measure it from x or y,' does nothing because there's still going to be a millimetres distance between onside and offside.
It doesn't matter how much we prune and sculpt the VAR guidelines, if the people operating it can't even draw...
remember Leeds getting a goal ruled out in VERY similar circumstances at selhurst a couple of seasons ago. do they have optimum viewing angles there? because the one they showed on the telly yesterday seemed a uniquely poor angle to try and make that decision
lots of variables in that. depends what they're actually doing with it for example. is it being taken short, layed back off to the corner taker and swung in, or are they working it to the edge of the box for a shooting opportunity? or is it being taken short to cleverly catch the defence out...
I don't really think anyone can argue it was anything less than a massive f*** up. so that's the end of that debate. the question people will then want to ask is is this player a liability and should he therefore be dropped? and the answer is very obviously no to both
this is definitely a topic that's been touched on before but it's absolutely doing my head in now. may as well just give goal kicks when we play because at the moment we cannot seem to generate anything of not from set pieces.
the reason I ask it's because it's not as simple as one factor...
nah, reckon he goes summer 24'. one last loan for rushworth next season and then he'll be ready to take over, though having said that he's already playing at the level sanchez was when he was brought to the first team
because according to them 'actual footballing reasons' don't exist for clubs like us. in their eyes, we exist simply to supply the big clubs with players, nothing else, and we should be grateful we've been allowed to be in the premier league in the first place.
okay okay, we replay the final. us Vs watford.
but it has to be with our squad and manager we had then, same goes for them. sorry rdz, you're out, welcome back sir chris! might struggle with murray's pace though...
the guy we were supposed to have last week, Michael Oliver.

one of the better ones imo. though that's a definite jinx now I've said that.
forgive my ignorance on this but don't German clubs have to have majority fan ownership or something? which is why Leipzig's structure may not have fallen foul of that rule
think it's pretty universally regarded that either groß or veltman are our best 'value for money' signing in the pl. this guy is now seriously threatening that title, for me. to get such a talismanic player for the fee we paid is pretty much unheard of
yes can essentially see him covering the 'lallana role' with other players while he's out. think having a left footed who's excellent in those one Vs one situations is something we need more of, so we could see him moved to the right at points but ultimately I think he's the sort of player you'd...
fact is none of those league have a product that's as watchable as the PL. Neither in terms of quality (though I appreciate that comes with money), but mostly through the fact that the PL having a mega and well structured TV rights deal generates the cash. the TV rights in other leagues aren't...
just states what their viewpoint would obviously be on the situation. think the fact we all saw it coming when he switched agents speaks volumes, but at the end of the day you're not supposed to like agents unless they're representing you
probably balancing the books to make them more attractive for a sale. though that does very little for them in the short term and relegation would change the picture completely, so I agree, strange choice
this is a good point. if we get Europe we'd be shopping in a totally different market come summer. thought we could do with a couple this window, but wouldn't want to add those players now and lose out on better ones come the summer.
