The players (bar 4 who were paid by KPMG) agreed to a deferral of their wages until the share issues with the FL is sorted. When it is the money is there waiting to pay them, they know this, Bates knows this, the PFA are aware of this. Currently Bates does not hold the registrations for the...
That is incorrect.
WYP want to be paid upfront which is fine and is the case at many other clubs, St Johns Ambulance received the money they were owed from a charitable Leeds fan (and I know that does not excuse Bates) and are prepared to attend ER under the same conditions as WYP.
Leeds fans certainly will as a collective get what the deserve, as they have in the past. It's a shame there are a lot of fools who are fumbling around with their eyes closed who either don't want to listen or just don't don't care. £4.5 million in monies in the LUFC07 account, hardly a message...
I completely agree with that, just very jaded by the whole situation I guess. I know we'll be back at Elland Road (providing we are actually allowed to play) next season but right now (and probably then as well) giving Bates any more of our money makes me sick to my stomach.
I just wonder where that line is that would make someone turn their back and walk away. Or if anyone would. Everyone I have spoken to has said "Well, I wouldn't stop supporting them but...."
Absolutely. I always thought I could be moral over this but now I am not so sure. That said, we have not renewed our season tickets yet and will leave it until the very last possible minute or until there are some real assurances about the club/admin/Bates/FL.
True love. He's been saddled with since the age of 14.
And while I can understand why, I think it's sad when people stay in loveless marriages/relationships for the sake of the children, finances, housing etc.
Indeed. It's definitely a game of brinkmanship now, waiting to see who will blink first.
I do believe absolutely that Bates never thought it would go quite so wrong as it has. I understand that he thought he could go into admin, buy the club back a minute later as he tried and that would be it...
No one knows what the deal with Bates' bid is. KPMG have assured us (all creditors) that we will receive documentation early next week (and they did not want to provide this) detailing his bid, why it was best for the club, what it entails, the debts, etc. etc. But at this point their word is...
I think that is what it will come down to now Easy. :/
I just wish the drip drip drip of bad news and financial puzzles would stop, the FL would say yay or neigh and we could then do the appropriate jiggery pokey to fix, prevent, help or whatever and make sure that on August 11th, in admin or...
I think the FL have the transfer fees? At least according to the idiots at KPMG - that said, it's highly likely not to be correct and in which case the money will be in the LUFC07 account as KPMG have done the deal and completely washed their hands of things.
The LUFC07 account has somewhere...
North - Stavanger or Haguesund (not sure which is further north)
South - Perth
East - Moscow
West - Washington
All Leeds games, apart from Russia (cup) all were pre season friendlies.
Indeed. But apparently they have already paid the club our appearance fee and I don't hold out any hope for them getting it back from the LUFC07 account that is probably registered to an island with no inhabitants.
Paddy and co are off to the Czech Republic if Leeds do not find an alternative...
