Ok they've threatened armageddon so let's have some storm watching.

Few drops of rain, distant rumbles and some lightening in east Brighton.

Some cracking lightening out to sea here in Hove. Hoping it's going to move inland.

That lightning link isnt always that correct. I have seen a few flashes out to sea, but they are not showing on the scanner thingy.

It is maybe 6 or 7 miles north of where I live, which is about a mile from the city centre.

Think the lightning thing runs on a bit of a delay, but it isn't that bad.

A rumble of thunder to the west of BN8 about half an hour ago. So expecting something scenic to happen I got the video camera organised. But instead of a thrilling bit of lightning footage, I appear to have captured what could just as easily be a black cat in a very damp coal hole.

So it's all quiet on the eastern front at the moment,

That may be so. But the vine in our garden has burst through the open window in the kitchen and is climbing toward the ceiling.

I reckon it's looking for shelter.

I heard that rumble of thunder and saw a flash in the Lewes direction.
The rain has eased now and it's all quiet on the eastern front.
