    [Politics] Brexit

As has been said multiple times, if it wasn't so serious, it would be hilarious. The question is asked time and time again and as far as I'm aware, no positive answer is forthcoming.

Yeah, I thought he was the kind of player that RDZ would like. Odd.

This. Although I would say Dave Greenfield's shoes are doing a lot of the heavy lifting too. This. Not the tattoo, my favourite album of theirs too. RIP Jet Black.

[Football] World Cup - Day Twelve

This is such a weird thing to argue the toss over. It's one area where VAR gets it right and STILL people think their opinion is more important.

[Football] World Cup - Day Twelve

Would it really? I imagine at different angles we'd all be debating if the ball had gone out or not even if you preferred rule were in place. Is it touching, is it really?? etc etc.

[Football] World Cup - Day Twelve

I'm sorry this is so odd, the rule is what it is. Why would it be a better rule if the 'midline' crosses the line? Whole ball or midline, what difference does it make? As it is the rule is whole ball, so the goal is good.

[News] China protests over Zero-Covid policy

Quite. I think that was the issue, not anyone calling for a China style response.

    [Football] England v USA

That's England in a nutshell isn't it? Southgate should be lauded for how far he's taken us in tournaments. That's the only measure of success for me.

    [Technology] Elon Musk and Twitter

One other thing I realised that Musk could end up trashing, is the audience and communities many many small, independent artists, musicians, businesses and whatevers have built up over the years. For some it's a livelihood. Will be very sad for them if it does go down the pan.

    [Technology] Elon Musk and Twitter

Enjoying the comments from people on here who have racked up 10's of thousands of posts on NSC and, by their own confession, visit other football message boards, characterizing Twitter as some kind of homogeneous mass. It's just nsc, but bigger, as it's mainly text based communication. Was...

[Help] What do you say to a bereaved friend?

Sorry to read about your friend's loss. No one knows what to say in these situations but I found when my younger brother died, that I appreciated any messages or words of sympathy, and that rather than avoid talking about him I almost craved any mention of him from people who knew him. I'm sure...
