Just my understanding is that B'muff are making it difficult and that they are asking for a buy clause to be attached to the loan. If that's the case I'm not surprised that we may be hesitating.
WA on the radio last night (might) have suggested that we're looking elsewhere - but it sounded like...
Tony Bloom may feel that at £5m (loan fee plus wages plus requirement to buy clause) plus wages is too much for a 33 year old striker. Might feel he's spent enough - and on current showings, with Jiri, Knockers, sidwell etc all looking to have fitted straight into the side, I wouldn't argue with...
We've only lost one away this season. Lost three at home. Hull should be worried about us. Scoring goals, in form, good away from home, January purchases already settled in, cover where we needed it, awesome bench. I agree we'll know more after the next three games, but no reason to be anything...
That's utter tosh. The did the obligatory few seconds of showing his picture and radio silence before the highlights. It's a crap show but no need to go scrapping the barrel for things to beat them with. They give you enough without having to contort issues that don't exist.
He didn't train on Monday/Tuesday. Trained for the rest of the week, but felt something when they arrived at the ground and doctor/physio decided better not to risk him given that Baldock was on the bench and that we had Tues/Sat/Tues games coming up.
Finished the game very strongly. Snuffed out the Bolton response in the last 20 minutes. Blocked or tackled everything. Definitely his best game for a while and benefiting from Knockers as an outlet.
We're scoring plenty, certainly similar to others, but conceding too many compared to the leading pack. We've been brilliant, but far too often we've conceded sloppy or soft goals and put ourselves under pressure. The "one goal win" stats reflect our defence more than our attack IMHO.
All that...
Small groin niggle he's been nursing all week. Floated yo just before the game. Safer to rest him with Baldock available for the bench. Not an illness issue.
It was a great save, no doubt. But was it match defining? What if their keeper hadn't made his match defining save just before half time? We'd have been 3-1 up at half time. Whole game would have been different. Odds and buts. Good save but not game defining.
What do you reckon? Will he get some game time? If he does, where would he play. Hard to see Knockers and Murphy getting dropped after 9/10 performances on Friday.
He was clearly injured from very early on. He was feeling his groin and limping. No one around me expected to see him in the second half and lo ......
Let's hope he'll mend quickly and be ready on the bench if needed next week.
